Walked in and waited for a 1/2 hour Without even being greeted. Asked a worker walking by if there was anyone to seat 2 people? The woman said she would check and come back. She never returned. I then went to the bar and asked the bartender who was responsible for seating guest?, because I had been waiting for a half hour without any service and expressed that I was not pleased with the service. She then stated there was a party of 15 in front of me that was waiting to be seated and would not seat me until they were seated. I told her that the entire party wasnt there and that I didnt understand why I had to wait for their entire party to show up before I was able to get service. She then in response stated she would seat them shortly. Another 5 mins went past and she sat the partial party. Without any time frame or communication with me about when I could be seated. Then after 10more minutes I asked another server how long the wait was and he said he would come back and also didnt return. Another customer noticed that I was upset, and suggested that I sit at the bar because there were open seats. I sat at the bar with the same rude bartender. She did not greet me, cleaned the bar, and closed tabs before coming over and asking me if I was going to sit at the bar. I asked her if I could participate in the brunch from the bar? and she said "I can find out how long a table will be", I told her no, I would like her to answer my question because Im tired of the wait, she then suggested I leave, I told her no, I wanted to eat here. She then said you can get up and grab a plate its on you. I went to get a plate, but I was so disgusted in her tone and poor customer service that I decided to leave. This was my first time at this restaurant, and the Sunday brunch came highly recommended, but this service, I was not expecting and will not return nor recommend!

Had high hopes for a good quesadilla. While the service was good and atmosphere was not at all bad, the quesadilla was unfortunately less tasty and felt lower quality than one from Taco Bell. It was a stale and tiny tortilla with a few stray shards of cheese and soggy throughout. Additionally, nothing but a tiny portion of tortilla and cheese were included for the $10+ after tip and tax, despite the menu saying sour cream and pico de gallo would be included items. Id like to try the place again and support them but after one pretty lackluster experience like this, especially on a simple menu item, its hard to want to go back. Maybe it was just a bad day for the cook.

Fantastic ambiance and great food are two of the things that made our visit to Mari Lunas one of the best experiences weve ever had at a restaurant in Pikesville. The wait staff was very friendly and courteous, the service was quick, the food was hot and delicious, and the atmosphere was great. As one reviewer said previously, make sure you dress a bit warmer in the winter because the restaurant door opens right into the seating area. If youre expecting a quiet, romantic evening, this isnt the place. The noise and activity, much like the food, is spicy and exciting! Great experience! Cant wait to go back!

Youre definitely not paying for the decor - from the outside, it looks TINY (which it is) and a little run down. Inside, theres very little decoration but its still nice (I loved the blue ceiling). The food & service, however, are great. I especially liked their chicken tortilla soup and their guacamole. They make everything fresh themselves, including their (yummy) ice cream. My husband and I have been looking for an authentic-tasting Mexican restaurant since moving to the area, and we are definitely coming back!

Mari Luna is okay but in all fairness Ive yet to find any Mexican restaurant in Baltimore which compares to the quality of those in the Midwest. The pork was overcooked and dry, the rice was flavorless and the charro beans were probably the best part of the meal. The service was okay, not great - I had to ask for extra salsa and napkins. Will I come back - NO, Qdoba or Chipotle is a better option.

my husband and I came here when they first opened, we sat at the Bar and were taken care of by the bartenders chris and michele. We just recently came in and this time sat in the dinning area and although the food was still the same the drinks however were not. I was sad to learn that Chris and Michele no longer work there. They made the best Martinis, you should try to get them to come back.

Ive had a bunch of different items and must say I have yet to be disappointed. Its one of my go to places for delicious Mexican food. This place looks like a dump but is actually lovely inside and very clean. Fresh chips and salsa. I think the Taco Salad is outstanding. Their carne asada is delish. Kabobs are awesome too. Really cant say anything bad about this place.

I usually give this place 5 stars but my early dinner today was rather lackluster. I ordered the carne asada steak, medium well. What I got was medium at best. I tried to finish it anyway but I couldnt get over how chewy the steak was and stopped eating. The salad and rice that came with the steak was boring as well. The dulce de leche crepes were good though.

I took my family here. We have a 6 year old daughter in there was nothing to keep her entertained but My wife and me which was not to bad. I would say this place is not a place to take kids. Besides that the food was great. The service was awesome. I can see us coming here more often without the kid.

I grew up in California having eaten Mexican food since I was a kid. This food measures up. In particular, the steak in the fajitas was tender and tasty. The cheese enchiladas were very good as well. The restaurant had a crowd during the week which is a sign that theyre doing the right things.

We have eaten at this restaurant since the day it opened. and can never get enough. The wait staff is friendly, the food is out of this world. The fajitas and the kabobs are my husbands favorite, I like the seafood soup and any of the fish!! Wow. what a find! At last great mexican!

Authentic Mexican Food. If you live in Baltimore County, you know Mari Luna is the place for Mexican. Their homestyle recipes take you on a trip south of the border. I recommend the Arroz con Pollo. Give this place a shot, they are LEGIT
