We love this place! The food is great, the chips and salsa always fresh and free! If you like guacamole, they make it fresh and its delicious. Beware of the older lady at the front counter her on the weekends, though. She will weirdly comment on your method of payment, hit on your husband, and give you side eye for no apparent reason. She makes one hell of a gate keeper.

I loved this restaurant !! The food was FANTASTIC The resteruant was nice and clean . I came from a trip to south corolina I had a bad experience with Mexican food there , so we were afraid to try this restaurant. But by a surprise this place was GOOOOOD!! I would recommend this place anytime.

The food is great.The service is great.I went to the other Mexican restaurant they took my order and forgot about me and I sat at the bar. I had to remind them that I was there.That happen to me two times . I will always go to El Ranchero for now on and never to the other one again.

Ate there 7/2/13 very nice. HOWEVER, I noticed while inside a gathering of young folks, thought nothing of it. Upon leaving those same people were right outside the restaurants door drinking beer and using foul language. If allowed, I guess I will not be going back.

Was looking for a place to eat on my way to VA beach and thought I would go for something simple like tacos. So thankful I did, EVERYTHING was really good, staff was very friendly, food was delicious and price was very reasonable, also the place was really nice. :)

Food was tasty and service pleasant workers. Highly recommended. The cleanest place to eat, I saw how they cleaned one evening after we were about to leave, the walls are cleaned daily with clean rugs etc. and disinfectants. I will eat there every day!

El Ranchero is my absolute favorite restaurant in Franklin and Southampton. The dishes are much more creative than typical Mexican restaruants and their execution and presentation are delicious. Also, the staff is always happy and friendly. :)
