Such a total disappointment. Though the restaurant is charming and someone took the time to give it a retro feel, looks dont make an establishment. The table we were seated at was cold as hell. We went to another table, and that too was drafty. I suspect the grouchy older waitress might be going through health issues, but I fail to see why everyone else has to suffer the consequences. Not everyone enjoys freezing while eating. Upon asking the young men at the next table how their food was they replied; "nothing to write home about". Two ignorant drunken females who sounded like they lived with dragqueens and their nerd friend were thankfully several tables away, blathering and carrying on. Its clear they dont care what condition they admit people in. The younger waitress, who couldve been a bookend to the mean, older one, is great at taking your order, then promptly forgetting about you. Apologizing is obviously her only specialty. Our drinks arrived after our food, which was also cold, and prefunctorily thrown together. Not much in the way of taste. I dont see how the grill attendant gets away with passing for a cook. The meat was like fatty rubber, the "hash browns" were cold, boiled potatoes with no flavor, and the eggs couldve been powdered for all the texture. I am mystified with how you screw up an English muffin, but they managed. This was absolutely a meal to "get through". The dishes and drinks were obscenely overpriced. For the quality, or lack thereof, everything shouldve been one third the charged prices, especially when piss poor preparation is taken into account. We felt ripped off, poorly fed, and disgusted by the time we left. I highly recommend going ANYWHERE else. Its a tragic waste of a lovely, well appointed diner. Hopefully, someone with foodservice and hopefully dining experience will buy this place, fire the soulless goons working there, and furnish it with some caring employees with some feel for the business. We certainly wont be back. Damned shame.

Terrible service, terrible waitress the food was worse. Im originally from Denver, Co. I was in the Gaithersburg area for work and looked up Diners on the way to the airport. Found this cute little place with really great reviews. I was super excited to to get some comfort food. Upon arriving, the waitress with extremely grumpy disinterested tone told me it was open seating. I waited for 15 min and then the bus boy served me coffee and water. I thought he was the waiter and asked him for the menu. Within 2 min I told the waitress my order. It was relatively slow time, around 3 PM. The food took 25 min to arrive. I had ordered an omelette came with toast and fries. She disappeared for the entire period. I had to literally get up, wave at her and ask other waitresses there to get me a refill for my coffee. I usually like hotsauce with my meal but it just took so long for them to pour me a refill that I did not dare ask anything else. understand how difficult it must have been for her to ask me how my food was, if I needed anything else. Maybe extra water, coffee napkins etc. Just plain RUDE! Zero hospitality, very disinterested and quite frankly depressed staff. Couldn care less about their customers. I was with my luggage so they knew I was out of town, maybe thats why they did not bother to provide any service. Extremely disappointed!! Since I dont live here, I have no way of telling the locals about this behavior. So I urge folks to read this detailed review and decide whether you want to dine here or not. Zero stars! Name of the Waitress that waited on me: BRANDY

I pass this place alot and was excited about going trying this diner. We arrived at about 6 am New Years Day. The place was NOT crowded at all, but with the massive piles of eggs and potatoes and bacon pre-cooked, I assume they were expecting a crowd. I planned to get the eggs and home fries, but had second thoughts after seeing the pre-prepared food, so I ordered the short stack. I should have seen the warning signs as soon as I walked in the door. Yes, the place is not clean. Yes, the wait staff was surely. I shook it off as maybe they had a hard night... Well, everything sucked! The coffee, served in small mugs, was weak and not very hot. The orange juice tasted watered down and sadly, like they did not even bother to shake or stir it up.. I paid 2 dollars for orange juice water. The home fries were the biggest disappointment. How can you screw up potatoes? They were hot on the bottom and cold on top. Like the chef (ha ha) plopped the pile of mushy home fries on the grill for a second to heat them up and then put them on the plate, without turning them over.... unbelievable! mushy, cold, rotten potatoes that tasted of bacon grease. I could not believe it. The short stack tasted, well like it was old.... pre-prepared as well.... Big mistake, never again. Told hubby, not to tip, he did anyway... How can you screw up fried potatoes.....? avoid this place like the plague and call resturant impossible....!!!!

WARNING: My family and I ate here (well attempted to) last night and we were highly disappointed to say the least. My sandwich (Monte Cristo) came out completely wrong and had to be sent back, the second time it came out it wasnt right again so I had it boxed and didnt say anything anymore. My wife ordered the Rocky Balboa sandwich (like a French dip sandwich), she took one bite and immediately tasted that the roast beef was old. She opened up the sandwich to look at it and the roast beef smelled funny and was DISCOLORED with GREEN spots all over the meat. We were completely disgusted and asked them to take it back. At that point I wanted nothing else. The manager was VERY rude when we told her the waitress was great but not the food as we were dissatisfied and told her what happened. Her exact words to us were "yea I heard you didnt like anything. I dont know why youd say that because as they slice the roast beef i stand back there and eat it". GROSS!!!! never once apologized just argued with me. Ive never experienced such bad service from a MANAGER. I am very disappointed. The mirror where we were sitting was filthy dirty and looked like kids had been smearing their dirty hands all over it all night and hadnt been wiped or cleaned.

Sunday, June 25, 2017. My girlfriend, our two friends and I decided to get some food. We didnt know what to get or where to go, then we remembered that this place is open 24/7. Weve been here quite a few times and something is always off every time we eat here. Tonight was the last straw. We seat ourselves (obviously), 20 minutes go by and we dont speak to a waiter/waitress. There were only 3 tables occupied when we got here with 2 waitresses, so theres no excuse. The waitress passes by over and over again without speaking to us until another waitress says something. She comes over and we finally get to order our drinks. It took 25 more minutes for our drinks to come out. By then, were annoyed, but we order anyways. So we order our food and wait, 10 minutes go by, weve finished our drinks without realizing. She passes by repeatedly without looking at us, so were drinkless. 20 minutes later, we get drinks and another 30 minutes later, we got our food. People who were there after us got their food before us, had good service and got their food hot. Needless to say, I wont be back here again.
