So Im going to try this review one more time and hopefully not be bullied, bashed, or countered with exaggerated false facts from friends of the owner on MY experience. Here is a list of what went wrong yesterday at this restaurant: 1. I made it very clear that fries were needed immediately for my child as soon as i entered the restaurant which never came. 2. It took almost ten minutes to get a high chair for my 1 year old. This place is small, we were by a tree, and according to others i was supposed to walk him around I guess bump into tables once he got hungry to calm him down. 3. Although our beverages came quickly, we completed them (still no fries for my child) and the 1 year old got upset because i wouldnt allow him to have my drink (his own set of "big boy" fries would have helped with this issue). 4. Even though we tried videos, toys, his juice, a menu to play with, and singing my child was hungry and his choice of communication is to scream. This can be very nerve wrecking for a mom. But i did my research and this happens with some children. This is his choice of communication and all i can do is try my best to redirect him. Besides that this phase just has to pass 5. Another customer got irritated ( which i completely understand) but according to this restaurants regulars it is ok for that particular woman to yell at and about me across the room, but its NOT ok for me to respond. And apparently, according to the regular customers, saying "we can talk about this but dont yell at me when my back is turned" is somehow threatening physical harm. 6. Instead of a thanks for choosing our establishment, but we really cant have the baby screaming here, or someone saying is there anything we at the restaurant can do to help, I was approached by the manager with "that baby cant be in here screaming", which caused an argument. 7. I was ready to leave prior to the manager approaching us, but remember we have to pay for those drinks and cancel those nonexistent fries. Instead because I challenged the managers rude approach with now my equally rude response, and yes my threats to report how I was treated, the manager aggressively reached across my child to grab menus and yelled "they have to go. You all must leave." Yes people we still had a menu on the table. This is when I had my last straw. 8. When I left I did what I believe any person would do, I went live on Facebook so MY friends could know how I was treated at this establishment and I wrote a review. 9. This review was bashed, and countered with #alternativefacts by who I believe are the owners friends with a description of an angry, rude, neglectful black mother. Placing almost EVERY racial stereotype on me that they could think of. Very disappointed in this establishment. I am a loving and caring mother with a child who sat through an entire church service. He received multiple compliments on his behavior that day. I am professional, educated, and I conduct myself as such. So I will leave this review for whoever to tear apart, but please remember those of you who has never been here before, the owner has friends who will say what it takes to uphold the image of this establishment.

Me and 2 other friends came out this past Saturday for brunch. We got there about 12 noon and there was only one table outside available. The waitress wasnt very friendly. She said in a nasty voice that she had to clean the table. I told my friends that I was going to the ladys room and would be right back. When I did come back the table was still dirty and my friends were still standing as she waited on a few more tables. As we were seated I received a phone call from the sitter that was taking care of my Aunt so I could get a break. The waitress got very nasty again and said she couldnt wait on us while I was on the phone. I had to answer because Im my Aunts caretaker and had to hang up because the waitress was so nasty. I gave her my order yet wanting to get up and leave because she was so nasty in her tone of voice yet didnt want to ruin my friends time out. I instantly called the sitter back and the waitress came back and actually laid a sign on our table about being on the phone and walked away with her nasty attitude again. By that time my friends were ready to walk out but called the manager. He comes to the table and wants to know what happened but also had an attitude. He jumped on my friend because his voice was too loud by his standards. My friend just talks a little loud but the manager was nasty as soon as he got to the table also. He never said he was sorry about what happened yet jumped all over my friend. I will never go to this place again. I never felt so humiliated. I understand about not being on the phone but this lady was way too nasty to be a waitress. To make a long story short we just walked out. Will never go back.

Absolutely solid every time Ive been here!!! Clean, bright, retro inspired diner on Colley Avenue. The music is perfect ~ 50s/60s/70s!! Service is stellar always, even when theyre slammed! Consistent quality food! I love the omelets and eggs Benedict! So many choices. They have the best Bloody Marys; offering three varieties of mixes to choose from. The sassy Mary is my fave. They also have sorbet mimosas which are the delight of the season. They offer outdoor seating as well as tables and countertop seating inside. The coffee is ALWAYS fresh and hot. The servers work as a team and its appreciated. Its obvious a tremendous amount of time and thought went into the design of the space.... Every inch of the restaurant is utilized to maximize efficiency. Be patient on weekends bc they jam and ticket times may reflect this. It is worth the wait..... Oh yeah the homemade biscuits! & onion rings!!! I could go on and on..... Carl is my favorite server but the whole crew is awesome!!

Stopped in on a breezy Sunday. We had been out walking with the dog and had gotten hungry. Outdoor dining allowed us to have lunch with our four-legged companion. It was difficult to make a decision, the menus have so many choices. We opted for breakfast. Chicken, waffles & egg was one pick, the other was the vegetable omelet. Both were fantastic. Veggies not too cooked, chicken not to salty. Everything was served piping hot. Sauce for the chicken & waffles was fantastic. Not too much cheese in the omelet - perfect. Liked being able to choose rye bread for the toast. Our server was excellent as well. Discovered that I knew him many moons ago. We would definitely return. I was sad to learn that Donut Dinette was replaced (nostalgia) but the Little Dog Diner is a nice replacement.

I love this place! Get the Way Down South Eggs Benedict! Homemade hollandaise, poached eggs, bacon, avocado, and fried green tomatoes on top of a fresh biscuit. This dish is amazing: the flavors and textures mix so well and you cant help but appreciate the freshness of the ingredients and how well they have been prepared. The decor is some kind of retro/deco, but it comes together well and the entire place is clean, with tons of seating indoors and out. The staff are friendly and likeable, and very attentive. Wait for food is twenty-ish minutes (more on weekend mornings). They serve booze, as well. Parking isnt great, but a five minute walk is fine by me. I really recommend you check this place out at least once.
