Wish i could give a zero star! They just rob you blind in daylight with nothing to show for it.first, they made us wait for over 39 mins before the chef that was supposedly assigned to us came around, the annoyance started when they sat another couple on our table-i was wondering if im paying almost 70 dollars for just rice and vegetables they could at least have the decency to give us a table, as if that was not enough, the chef started his beautiful display of a combination of onion candle and dragon breath fire on tbe grill which was not bad, then the horror began! Making the rice, vegetable and shrimps and scallops took forever, i was willing to wait and damn was i hungry! In my mind i was wondering if he was going to start the other couples food after ours was ready, little did i know that they had lumped in 5 orders and a 6th obviously take away order in the little food being prepared on the grill, to cut the story short, we each were served aboht 10 tea spoons of fried rice a few flakes of vegetable and at this point i was hopping mad i had ordered shrimps, scallops and lobsters with satueed mushroom on the side,i watched in agony as this chef scooped the entire mushroom and shrimps which could barely make 2 servings and split it up between the couple and a stero foam plate into which a portion of everything made on that table was dumped-i couldnt hold my anger anymore and i demanded for the shrimps i orhidered but the chef insisted that i did not order shripms, the waiter who took our orders had to be called in and it was confirmed that i did indeed order shrimps at which point she offered to have them quickly boil some shrimps-boil-shrimps??? !!! Of course i said no! I couldnt wait to get out there. The food itself was bland and totally uninteresting .we parted with 70dollars all the while weeping inwardly and they had the efontry to ask for a tip! I simply cancelled it and wrote in capital letters NO TIP! So finally i went home from the big dinner still still very very very hungry , not wanting to risk anymore surprises, i respected myself by digging out some frozen biggels and butter and took it with a cup of tea -you bet my husband was scrambling over the bigels with me. Eating at the sakura was not a pleasant experience but it was one worth having otherwise i would have always felt like i was missing out on something - a word of advise please -dont -go -there!!!!.

Just based on the other 5 times Ive been to a Sakuras, todays experience was just mediocre. I was mainly a little turned off that the chef was cooking veggies and then meat, and then used the same spatula to serve the veggies to me(I ordered the vegetable dinner) right afterwards; Ive gotten salmonella once already and I hope that itll stay that way. The fried rice was also too salty today, and I think the chef forgot to add the mungbean sprouts to the vegetables, so he cooked them at the very end. Unfortunately, the chef also dropped the egg on the table and it cracked there. Lastly, dont get tricked by the sushi menu, especially the sushi and sashimi column - its only 2 pieces for sushi, not 3.

It wasnt like any other hibachi place that I have ever been to (not in a good way). I had the steak hibachi, and the fried rice and shrimp appetizer. The hibachi was entertaining but the food wasnt all that great. My vegetables were crispy, yet not and tasted funny, steak was good, but not super good, but, the fried rice was bad. It was overcooked and done really badly. The miso soup also had a really bad flavor. I could not stand having it. My friend had a good sushi dish. I was very disappointed to see that they didnt have fried ice cream. Overall, I give this place 2.5 stars.

Far from a real Japanese restaurant as I use to go in Tokyo or in France : sushis have no taste (no fresh fishes and shrimps), salad doesnt look like a Japanese salad, and the Californian rolls... really hard to eat ! Only the soup was awesome ! Im sorry but this restaurant is well evaluated although it is disappointing ...

This place was okay..I had the sushi and it wasnt anything special. My boyfriend had hibachi. We just moved in the area from New Jersey and are used to hugee portions of hibachi yet he finished all his rice and vegetables before the steak even got to his plate. We werent even full when we left..wont be going back.

Hoster is doing everything else such as (service, cleaning and taking drinks) beside hosting. Place is old. And not happy with their job. Go ahead and try it than let me know if im right.

Its an enjoyable show and they are pretty good about including the kids which is GREAT. Even with the whole experience the food is just not quite exciting enough to justify the price.

Went here with my mother and other family. Found a roach crawling on the hibachi towards her plate. Staff didnt even care!! Disgusting. In need of pest control, until then.. Stay away

Chefs cook for you right at the table with acrobatic flair. Limber up before you go if you want to catch a shrimp or two in your mouth.

Food and service were great. The guy cooking the food wasnt as animated as I remember them being. Not very interactive.
