I have eaten at just about every Indian restaurant within 30 miles of Baltimore and I didnt think that I would find any place that rivals House of India in Columbia but I think I have found one that they could go up against with Himalayan House. I really didnt even want to try it simply because of the look of the outside of their store but this is definitely a hidden gem. The mattar paneer and tikka marsala that my buddy and I shared was excellent. I cant wait to try the lamb curry which is another one of my favorite Indian dishes. I only wish they would do combination orders. I like to have a variety which is why I normally favor the buffets. Even still, two thumbs way up on this place.

Best Indian food Ive ever had. Have yet to find something better (Ive moved away from Baltimore and have tried a bunch of places in the Columbia area). Pretty much any time I go to Baltimore I try to find a way to grab their Tikka Masala. Dont let the fact that this place is the definition of "hole in the wall" fool you. Having said that, dont come here expecting a fine dining experience or a romantic dinner, better to just get carryout and enjoy the amazing food.

Being an Indian, I am very picky about Indian food. It is all about flavors... I tried 100s in my life time... This one is one of the few that I love. Dont go on interior, bc its mostly carry out business with few tables. But you will not be disappointed with food & customer service. Plus prices are reasonable, may be its in college town. Will visit again.

Im not the best judge of Nepalese food, but I enjoyed the chance to try out a cuisine I don t know much about. The small space and super-casual atmosphere work in your favor if youve got little ones, too. The lamb korma curry was very good - would definitely order from again when Im in the area! (But not sure Id make a trip out of my way to go get it.)

I walked into the restaurant based on the 4.5 rating it has. Very disappointed seeing the interior, tables and chairs. I have my 3 yr old along with me and so asked for a high chair or a booster seat. They could not provide one. In turn I was asked to use my car seat...which I felt was very rude answer. I walked out of the restaurant right away.

Food today was great! The flavors were Delicious and the chicken was not over cooked like the last time we ordered. I was hesitant to order from them again, but I am glad I did! Also, they were busy today and the owner himself drove out to our campus to deliver the food. Good service + good food = happy girl!

I was skeptical at first. I had walked by this place a thousand times and never thought to eat the food from such a hole in the wall place. After I read all of the positive reviews, I gave it a try. Amazing! Very delicious. I got the Tiki Masala. Everything tasted fresh.

We had delivery and the service was excellent, price was reasonable and the food was amazing! We will be ordering from Himalayan House on a regular basis and will spread the word of their outstanding food! BTW -- the food arrived warm so we didnt have to re-heat!!

Dont let its "hole in the wall" appearance discourage you; this is hands down THE best Indian food I have ever had. The lamb vindaloo in particular was absolutely incredible. If you like Indian food, you will not be disappointed in the least

The lamb curry was good. I would recommend the samosa over the naan for lunch special. The food came in a styrofoam box even when dining in, which was a little strange.
