Good food, good prices. Service is enthusiastic. Thai fish cakes are not on the menu. I knew to ask for them, made an appointment (reservation?) came back several days later and had some good ones. One of our party spent a year in Thailand. I use him to judge the authenticity. He gave it high marks. I noticed a reviewer with complaints about potatoes and carrots in the food. It is an oriental cuisine tradition that fresh local food is more important than exotic imports. Savoy cabbage vs. bok choi. That sort of thing. Thai cooking is about the balance of four flavors. Salt, sour, sweet and hot. This place regularly achieves a good balance. If you need more heat, order "three stars". It will light you up. And if you are unhappy with the food or the service, ask to talk to "Mr. Green." That is the nickname of the owner. And he has done right by me. Try the "Coconut soup" (Thom Ka Gai). The soup is worth the trip.

One of my favorite places to order out from in the Parkville area. I often go here for lunch since my work is right up the street, but occasionally my husband and I will order out for dinner as well. My favorites are the Yum Woon Sen, Black Fried Rice and Brown Fried Rice... my husband loves their curries and the extra spicy Drunken Noodle. They also have excellent spring rolls that come with their lunch specials. Seating is limited, so unless youre coming at lunch, Id recommend ordering for pickup. The staff is always friendly when I call in to order. Love Chok Chai!!

We tried Chokchai based on Google reviews, and the experience was somewhat disappointing. The food was mediocre at best. Coconut sauces were definitely made primarily with milk, NOT coconut. The lardna sauce was middling, and the portions were smallish. I was particularly annoyed that our noodle entree was served with a big side of white rice. Come on, the noodles are the starch! Prices were so-so, in the $10-$13/entree range. We wont be going back.

Great, inexpensive Thai food. Its a simple mom and pop kind of restaurant, just a little hole in the wall so nothing fancy. Parking is difficult so walk if you can or order carry out. All in all a great, easily missed place for Thai food.

Nice and cozy place. Was clean when I walked in. Food delicious, for the price or not - it was just really good!!!! Dont just rely on negative reviews, try it on your own, like I did.

I always judge a Thai restaurant by their pad Thai, and theirs was good. Plus it was reasonably priced. I would recommend this place for your Thai food fix.

their wings are awesome - chicken stuffed with crab. Nothing else too remarkable. Decent Thai food in general, best for pickup.
