My family have been loyal customers since they opened. My wife has celiacs disease, and she really appreciates the options for her diet. For the last several years they have been our go to place for both of my childrens birthday parties, buying ten pizzas twice a year. It had become our corner pizza joint, randomly stopping in with the kids for a quick affordable meal. Sadly, tonight was our last visit. They got rid of their real soda. Let me tell you the reasons this stubborn customer is angry about their switch to Stubborn Soda. 1. No zero calorie option. The reason I can eat at my corner pizza joint guilt free is because I count my calories. Part of that involves not drinking my calories. I dont want a "low calorie" soft drink. I want a zero calorie soft drink. I drink nothing but water at home, so when I go out to a restaurant I expect either Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, or preferably Coke Zero. I settled on a bottle they had under the counter, which meant I Iost the free refill option at a higher price. 2. Sugar cane. When I see the words "free trade sugar cane" all I hear is, "we hate American corn farmers". Not only are they not supporting American agriculture, but Spizzico is supporting the importation of cane sugar. Cane sugar is terrible for the environment, and importing it over American crops means a much higher carbon footprint. Why would Spizzico purposefully contribute further to global warming? 3. Corporations. Even if the cane sugar came from the US, it probably would have come from the giant Fanjul Bros conglomerate. Stubborn Soda isnt even some local craft soda. At least that would be a cute marketing point. Who doesnt enjoy eating or drinking some local creation? No, Stubborn Soda is made by Pepsi. So Spizzico is also now being dishonest to their customers and pretending that this new soda fountain is some special "craft brew". I am not anti-corporation by any means. After all, I drink Diet Coke. I just get disgusted when people lie about it. So unfortunately this one change means I will not be coming back any time soon. I do promise to peek my head in the door though on my way over to Georges, in the hopes that I see a real soda fountain back in place.

Weve been eating at Spizzico since they opened & believe they have the best Italian food in Maryland. The restaurant is clean & pleasant & the staff is genuinely friendly & helpful. However, I had the "pleasure" of meeting the owner on Dec. 14 & found him sadly lacking in customer relations skills. I was there with a friend, who received her pizza shortly after delivery of her wonderful Caesar salad. My own pasta, however, still hadnt come to the table after about a further 20-minute wait (an uncommon occurence there). I went to the front counter & quietly mentioned to one of the staff that I was still waiting for my pasta, while my friend had long-since been served. At this juncture a "gentleman" I had not seen there before stepped up to loudly & unpleasantly inform me that this wasnt a fancy restaurant &, basically, I could just keep waiting. This nasty, belligerent, defensive little man really needs to sharpen his people skills. 4 stars instead of 5 ONLY because of this unwarranted attack & apparent lack of knowledge of basic service etiquette. Too bad, as the restaurant is great & we have sent many other customers their way over the past months.

I love this place. Lots of stuff is made in house and is really tasty, my favorite things are their : bread, house dressing (which you can buy to bring home, along with the pizza sauce), Italian sub, and bianca pizza ( white with eggplant and prosciutto ), and the Capricciosa Pizza (Red with artichoke and veggies). I also loved the home made chips, but it seems they have replaced it with fries. The pasta dishes can get a bit expensive but the pizza, lunch deal, and sunday family size meals are a good deal. The menu and prices are on their website. They also have off-the-menu specials on the board when you walk in, they can be a bit pricey, but they are normally nicer and fancier dishes (often seafood) for people looking for a step up from pizza or spaghetti. They also have wine glasses if you bring in a drink. Can be a little difficult to understand the person taking your order. Wait times have never been too long for us, and they do sell 2 liter sodas if you are getting pizza to-go. They seem to be doing pretty well, Even on off-nights they have a good crowd and lots of to-go orders. Dont forget to finish your meal with a cannoli.

Ordered takeout when visiting our relatives in Arnold. We ordered enough food for 4 adults and 2 kids, and they had it ready in under 20 minutes. I had the sausage and peppers sandwich with fries. The sandwich was amazing, but the fries tasted like they were made in oil that was a little long in the tooth(to be fair, I ate them all regardless). My daughter really liked her fettuccine pasta with chicken as well. We all ate for ~ $80 so I felt the prices were very good as well. Id definitely eat here again.

Bad pizza. Crust was flavorless and way too thin in the center which got super soggy. I dont know how since there was not nearly enough sauce. The sausage was not spiced! Just pork blobs. The mushrooms were old and had no flavor. And you dont put sauteed onions on a flat pizza since they slide right off and make a soggy mess. Kudos for using real mozzarella though. I will give them another chance on the weekend when the crew might be better trained.

Have been dining here and enjoying carry out since they have been open. This place is well run and well managed for sure, always very smooth and meet time expectations no matter how busy. The food is delicious and service and staff are great. I cant even compare our experiences here to their neighboring Greek restaurant...

After every meal Ive had had there Ive gotten sick. The food is okay, but a bit overpriced. My family goes there every few months to see if they have improved at all but we have had no such luck, the service is also terrible, as whenever we go there the employees dont seem to care that we were waiting. Two stars from me.

Good food...love the spaghetti meatball... Butta la pasta, bella scarpetta BUT, the attitude problem of the owner and the way he screams and talks to his employees are BAD. Good service from employees , I wish I can say the same thing for the owners. They need to take ANGER MANAGEMENT classes. Best wishes

Fresh food and generous portions. Good and fresh pizza, subs and wings. Try the stracciatella (chicken soup with egg, spinach and cheese tortellini) and the Grilled Rosemary Chicken sub. The sub with a bowl of the stracciatella soup is enough for tonights dinner and tomorrows lunch!

The staff are all very nice every time I go in and they are very accommodating, sense I am a vegetarian. The kids spaghetti is by far my favorite last minute thing to get when it is late and I am too lazy to cook.

The sauce on this pizza is excellent! Come here if you enjoy friendly service and great food. Also, remember that if you like having beer with your pizza they let you bring your own alcohol!
