I have been to this restaurant before with a very large group of people when it first opened last year. It was excellent. Today I went back for a friends birthday. I drove an hour to get to this restaurant an the food was amazing every dish we had was fantastic. I read a reveiw not enough sauce well there was enough and too many restaurants swamp their pasta or food with too much sauch. I had chicken Marsala and I dont normally like it from restaurants but this was the best servecd with shaved Brussle sprots and red blis potatoes. The portions are plenty that I split my meal with a frend and thought they made a mistake as with spilitting it was still large. It was a wonderful dining exeperience, service bar staff, decent wines, no waiting. But the food was out of this world so much better than Tioga county. And for me it was worth the drive to enjoy fabulous food with fantastic friends. I will be back

You never know what youre getting when you go to an Italian restaurant, but this place exceeded my expectations in most every measure. The pasta primavera is quite literally the best Ive ever had, and the service was very good. The portions are huge, and for the most part the presentation was beautiful (but really, there is only so much you can do with a plate if you happen to order spaghetti with meatballs). Id advise you re request "light" on both sauce and dressing, but this is the only thing I can find to nitpick.

The presentation of their food was excellent! Really attractive, couldnt wait to dig in. They have a reputation for great old Fashioneds. Sadly, I can only say the food looked good and they have a reputation for good old Fashioneds. Would put them at about an Olive Garden level certainly not up to their pricing. Service was timely but lacked personality. Cant complain about that, but some may be more bothered about that than I, the flourless chocolate cake was very good. I will give it a second chance some day.

Great place. Great food. Great service. Had never been before. Chose it simply because it was open late. Got a great meal. The menu isnt huge or hard to understand. But it is just about perfect. All the things a person could ask for. The food came quickly and was more than youd expect for a place in Cortland. The cook takes pride in what he/she does. This will be a staple in our lives from now on. Awesome place.

With it being under new management its a little rough. I did go when they first opened and the service was very slow. I talked to a coworker who went, waited thirty minutes, and they sat someone else. The food is still pretty good, but wheres the sauce? My dad was disappointed with the sauce to food ratio. Hopefully they will learn, but for the price of the food and the quality we will not be going back.

After we heard that it was under new ownership we decided to give them another try. My husband and I where totally happy with the meal, thank God, we have a great restaurant again in Cortland NY and next time we will make reservations, the place was humming within the next 20 min. Keep up the great quality,we will definetly be back and bring our friends and family.....!

Im happy to see this iconic Cortland restaurant re-open. The food and service is top notch and the atmosphere has a friendly, classic retro vibe that is warm and inviting. The menu offer a variety of classic Italian American fare that is sure to please. The Green Arch will definitely be one of my favorite destinations when visiting Cortland.

Vince can make anything you want, but what you want here is an Old Fashioned. Open only three nights a week, closed in the summer, usually, and strictly cash-only in both the bar and the restaurant! And worth the trip to the ATM!

Staff was very friendly and food was amazing! The sauce they use for pasta is unique and very good. Bar is very cramped and turns into a standing room only but the bartender kept up great with drinks.

THE restaurant in the area. Best Italian food in Cortland/Ithaca vicinity, and their Utica Greens are the best Ive had. Pricy, but absolutely worth it. The hidden jewel of central NY
