The Golden Rooster has one of the best breakfasts in Maine that Ive had. I was served gumongously huge fluffy panckes, bacon and scrambled eggs. The portions were generous to the point of overwhelming, definitely not a bad thing to a hungry man. The waitress was pleasant and attentive but not intrusive. I admit to being a "coffee snob" and The Golden Rooster has good coffee. Inside there is an unmistakable ambiance that makes diners feel right at home. Its easy to tell The Golden Rooster is a favorite with the local community, and for good reason. Its clean, comfy, cozy along with good food and excellent service at a fair price. Five stars and two thumbs up!

Love the Rooster! Their crepes are fantastic as is their "homemade" corned beef hash! Been coming here for over 20 years and it is always a yummy experience. Highly recommended to folks who are from out of town. Those of us who live here frequent the Rooster and know how good the food is... try it and youll find it a new favorite for whenever you visit the area.

Our server greeted is and invited us to sit anywhere. Of course I picked booth with a syrupy sticky on the edge of the table. She apologised and cleaned it right away. We ordered the special with 2 blueberry crepes and eggs and sausage. The eggs and sausage were average fare. The blueberry crepes were fantastic.

Food and service was good. Just nothing overly amazing with the food to make me have to go back and get it again. I got an omelet which was good, but something that I would be able to make myself at home. However, it was a very big omelet and was packed full with "toppings" which was impressive.

Must go, at least for breakfast!!! Local institution. Still have u shaped "coffee area"--can eat there too, plus booths & tables. Run by local family everyone knows, or so it seems. Very reasonable. Lets kids put out flyers in window for fundraising. GREAT diner.

Not impressed. Nothing special. If you are gluten free there are no gluten free options. And how are you a local maine breakfast restaurant and dont have real maple syrup? Not coming back here again. Go to good thyme or the palace diner youll be so much happier.

The restaurant is very clean the food is okay not the greatest but not the worst The Waitresses there you have to check your slip because they try to overcharge you it happened to me added things on never had make sure you check that out food is okay

Best breakfast place Ive found between Saco and Biddeford. Really good breakfast options with a homey feel on the inside. Lots of seating options and a small bar that can maybe fit 15. Starts to get expensive for the food though

What a great place, I always prefer an individually owned and run place like this to a chain. The food was great, the small town atmosphere was charming and , if its good enough for Steven Tyler, its good enough for me!

Good service, pleasant atmosphere, server was excellent. Food (had meat lovers omelette) was so-so. Meat tasted old and coffee was very weak (and I am not even a lover of strong coffee). The home fries were very good.
