The breakfast food was very good. However our waitress was not. She took our order from the drink station behind a counter, not very proper. She gave us our hot beverages from there having to place them at an angle and spilling hot coffee. She forgot to put our order in so we waited at least 20 mins for breakfast! And then said she was sorry at least 5 times. Once is enough to show you are sorry, more than that makes the customer uncomfortable. Our bill was adjusted and we were shocked to see the waitress was listed as manager! The food was very good but the owners need to discuss proper waitress behavior and interaction with customers. Not the Mothers Day breakfast I had hoped for!

I now live in Seattle, Washington but lived my childhood years in the Bangor/Brewer area. This restaurant has been around for a grand time. Every time I come to Bangor I make it a point to always visit the Hermon Family Restaurant. The folks who work there and the food is "ALWAYS" fantastic. I hope to be back again in 2017.

Definately gone downhill since new ownership. Frozen onion rings and hash browns instead of fresh made. Muffins taste artificial and donuts although flavorful, very dry. Longtime wait staff gone. Not much reason to return. I will say i was usually there for breakfast so no idea about the rest of the menu.

Less than average quality. I had the "haddock" with fries. The cole slaw was mass produced and soggy, the fries were fine but the so-called haddock tasted like cheap grocery store fish sticks. I would think that they would do better if they made some effort to serve fresh food

The wait staff is nice but the food is not very good. No seasoning - bland - would be be the best way to describe the food. The menu promises great choices but the delivery is below par. Maybe breakfast is good. Dont know about that...
