We were on a drive from Saint John NB to Portland ME and desperately needed a place to grab lunch. Anglers was the perfect, just off the highway pit stop. I was so hankering for a fried clam plate and theirs was done to perfection. Extra bonus, they had house made onion rings that day. This was the perfect cholesterol lovers meal! My girlfriend opted for their lobster salad (she did steal some clams and onion rings) and that was a super generous helping of fresh lobster meat on top of greens. BTW - leave room for desert. We never have had Grapenuts Custard, but now I cant wait to try making this myself.

The lobster is magnificent. Now service on the other hand is something to be desired. I think that our waitress was new to the business because she wouldnt actually come to the table to see how the meals were going. As it got closer to the end of the night, we didnt see her at all. Not to mention but my drink was never refilled. Other than that the food was amazing. I got the 1 1/2 lb stuffed lobster and my wife got Maine Shore dinner. Neither of us left hungry.

I have always had a great meal here! I have been going to Anglers for the past 7 years and have never had a complaint. The portions should be watched when ordering, if you want to partake of the generous deserts, especially the strawberry short cake. I found portions and prices for them are very reasonable and you can get the smaller portions, which are more than adequate or go big and maybe take some home. (Ill take some pics next time)

This location has always had friendly staff, decent seating and aptmosphere. Been here with the family a number of times now and weve never had a bad meal here. Their seafood is quality and well cooked. Ive yet to try any of their sandwiches or steaks its really only been their seafood so Im only commenting on that. The Newport location was awful I dont suggest going to that location.

Food was god awful. Staff sucks. Waiter was obviously ill and should have been excused that day. He vomited directly in front of our table. He was gassy and sweaty. Also tried to charge us for complimentary water. Also a staff member kept "dropping" hos pen to look up middle aged womans skirt at adjacent table believe his name was kyle

The fried olives for an appetizer were a pleasant surprise, the shore dinner was prepared beautifully, the deep fried lobster tails were so tender, the lemon cake was really good, the berries in the blueberry pie were fresh and local and our server Jason was very good and extremely personable.

This place has AWESOME food, incredibly reasonable prices, very friend staff, and theyre a goat place to bring friends from away for a truly Maine restaurant experience. Also, an AYCE fried haddock dinner! Thats my favorite.

Theres a bunch of these restaurants in the area that I like the one in Hampton the best. The food is good the people are good the parking is good. I particularly like the fish chowder and the haddock

Awesome friendly staff, great location for groups or for couples! We have them a 29 minute warning and they fitted a party of 21 in! Great food, gotta have the 1.5 lb lobster!
