I used to love coming to this restaurant but the past two previous times coming here have been a terrible experience. The first time I got a take out order and didnt get everything I ordered as well got violently ill from the food being undercooked. the second experience, I got charged for a side I did not order and the waitress took 20 minutes to fix the bill (which hey it happens and I appreciated it) but when she brought my bill back I realized I got charged even more and had more added on to my bill in a bunch of percentages... She did not aknowlege the fact she gave me the incorrect bill again or asked me if it looked okay and instead put them on the table and walked away before double checking. Not only did I get charged more, I did not get an apology for the mistake or didnt tell us tell to have a good day, she just waked away... very disappointed with the customer service... She was not polite and did not care that we got charged incorrectly...

We went to Los Tapatios after reading all the great reviews. However, after our experience, we wondered how this restaurant could get four or five star reviews. Our food was not hot, and service was mediocre. Before ordering, my wife asked the server if the enchilada sauce was spicy and the server assured her it was not. When the order arrived (cold) the sauce was much too spicy to eat. The server said she could take the order back and replace it with another with sour cream in lieu of enchilada sauce. My wife agreed to this resolution. Fifteen minutes passed before her replacement meal arrived. In the meantime, I had eaten my meal [so it wouldnt get cold...er]. This restaurant did not measure up to the reviews. In the future, in a similar situation, I will send both meals back or leave the restaurant. In conclusion, we will NOT return to Los Tapatios nor recommend it or refer anyone.

Ive been going to Los Tapatios almost since they opened. 6 months ago I would have given them 5 stars for food & cost. But now the cuts have begun. Portions are less, prices are up. Servers have changed and arent as nice. Food isnt as good. Instead of cooking food, its now being heated. And down it goes. I used to go once a week and always brought friends. Now, doubt Ill be going at all.

Love this restaurant! The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. The waiters are very attentive and friendly. Their salsa is fresh and the chips are fresh and crisp. I havent had any of the drinks there but I have heard that their Margaritas are the best! Great location and ample parking. Definitely worth it. Prices are great and affordable.

I go here a few times a year and I love it. Theres already great, friendly service. The food has never disappointed me and the portions are huge. The prices are so reasonable especially considering the large portion sizes. Margaritas are delicious and also massive...we always argue who had to drive and not have one.

Excellent and authentic. Stopped at the south Portland location "Los tapatios 2" Monday night, the place was empty, so i had doubts about the quality/popularity. Had friendly service and tried something that I had never tasted before. Glad to have some quality, flavorful, and delicious Mexican food this far north!

Best Cinco de Mayo I have ever had! It was super busy but they handled it well! Service was extremely fast! Margaritas and the food were amazing! AND just as we were leaving, they gave us Stella Artois glasses with gifts stuffed in them! Great first impression and we will definitely be coming back!

From the moment I walked in I loved this place!! The people working (I think they are a big family maybe) were all amazingly nice and helpful. The food was too good for words and the drinks mighty tasty. if you are looking for an authentic meal for a super good price, this is the place!

Food was not seasoned very well. No flavor. I liked the salsa....a mild almost sweet salsa but the chips were a bit stale. Mediocre service and not very enthusiastic. They did not offer to change out the food when we complained. Price was reasonable at 5.99 for a lunch special.

This place is not Mexican food at all. The ground beef is literally the powdered stuff tacobell used to use. The enchilada sauce tasted like watered tomato paste. Ugh. This is not in any way shape or form, authentic. At least the people were nice.

Service was very good. Food was not good at all. I have eaten there before many times and it was very good. Tonight it was just off. The food was bland and tasteless. The Manager was very kind and apologetic and did not charge us for out meals.

BEST Mexican food weve had in the northeast! Take it from me, Im Mexican and have lived in SoCal my whole adult life: Its authentic and delicious!! The service is outstanding and they have my favorite beer on tap Dos Equis Amber. 10 stars!!!

We went on a busy Friday night. The service was good and so was the food. Definitely the best Mexican food in the area. Great atmosphere and the prices and portions are great value. I would definitely come back.
