Had a great night at the busy Port Hunter. The location could not be better on the main street in Edgartown so a very walkable distance from the Harbor View Hotel I stayed at. The atmosphere is very Restoration Hardware, modernized lamps and wood and metal tables about. The bar is off to the side to leave most space for table of 2-4. They have a raw bar which in the islands if you dont have seafood, forget about it. For apps, we started with buffalo cauliflower with a blue cheese side dressing, made you think you were eating buffalo chicken bites (it could have fooled any meatlover). The menu also had american staples such as roasted chicken and beef but the huge yellow fin tuna I got could have fed 2. It was reasonably priced and cheaper than the roasted chicken. Delicious. The bartender was friendly and mixed up a strong but tasty cucumber vodka medley. Left feeling full and satisfied.

I have been to many restaurants on the Vineyard and the Port Hunter is by far my favorite. First off, the restaurant is owned by two Edgartown brothers and they have worked hard to showcase the local resources of the island. This is quite apparent in the menu, as most vegetables are coming from on island and the seafood fare changes regularly. Throughout my visits to the Port Hunter, I also found the staff to be attentive and knowledgable. I really would recommend anything on the PH menu, as it is all exquisite. Another excellent highlight of the Port Hunter is that its quite reasonably priced for an island restaurant. I would certainly recommend arriving early during the summer hours or be prepared to wait for a while. Though if you have the patience, I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant!

Personal preference but this may be the best restaurant on Earth. The food, service and cocktails are hard to beat all on their own. I will dream of the flash-fried brussel sprouts all winter. But its the setting of the Vineyard, and Edgartown in particular, that make it unforgettable. Arrive early!

I have never eaten here. However, its a great place for drinks and live music. Great crowd. However, it can get very crowded. If your looking for a quite atmosphere, this is not it, especially layer in the night. Shiny happy people!

The hostess and all of the servers are AWESOME! The food was PHENOMENAL! Great atmosphere and worth every penny! The sea scallops, lobster roll, and steak were heaven to my taste buds. We will be back for more!

My fish tacos were surprisingly delicious. As in, I expect a fish taco on Marthas Vineyard to be extremely delicious, but this was MORE than extremely delicious. Kudos to the kitchen.
