If youre into campy, corny Americana, this is the place for you. However, the service was terrible. Took my wife and two sons there for dinner quite a while back and we were treated like we had the plague. Our standoffish waitress couldnt be bothered to accomodate any of our requests. Under the assumption that I had no money, we were snubbed. By ordering water instead of beer or wine to go with our overpriced entrees, apparently we were committing a mortal sin. We were treated like garbage. Even the manager was extremely rude. We left halfway through our meal and found a much nicer place down the street, where I Shelled out almost $150 for a nice dinner (and still had my water, as I do with every meal.) Guess that waitress lost out on a nice tip. Hope they have changed... For their sake.

The decor is pretty wild, with license plates and antiques covering every square inch of wall that isnt a large stained-glass window. It was very family friendly, keeping 4 kids from 2 to 10 occupied during the wait for the food (which was a bit longer and more expensive than I would have liked). Of course, being Bar Harbor, that was only to be expected. Well go again, if were in the mood for something nicer than Subway but downscale from many of the other choices in the neighborhood. Best, its just down the road from Ben and Bills. :-)

The decor is the only reason to stop in. And maybe the blueberry flat. Food is mediocre at best, and overpriced. Mixed drinks are weak. Service (this time) was great, but previous experiences were not so pleasant. This is really a wasted opportunity for such a busy area. Put a little more love into it and it could be brought back. I made a reservation, hoping it would be needed, unfortunately it wasnt necessary, and even the hostess gave a knowing look when we arrived...

We were on vacation in Bar Harbor and our kids really liked the car outside of this restaurant so we decided to stop for lunch. Really neat place with lots of memorabilia and stuff to check out. Great menu with lots to choose from. We had the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer and they were delicious! Perfect laid back milkshake and burger spot with quick and friendly service. We would definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun spot to eat in Bar Harbor.

Typical diner food with a A-Z menu, something for everyone. The atmosphere is really what makes this place shine, the owner collects things from Route 66, signs, trains, and license plates galore. I personally didnt have super high expectations so there was no disappointments. Our group ordered pizza, which unfortunately was cold but tasty, veg ravioli which was good, and a grilled chicken sandwich, so-so with not much flavor.

Great food and service. Brittany was our server and was top notch!!! Best price on lobster around! $22.95 for 1.25lbs perfectly cooked! Also, ordered lobster mac and cheese which was very good to as well as the clam chowder. Finished it with a slice of blueberry pie which was the best so far. Drinks blueberry wine dont recommend that but the blueberry beer was excellent! Best restaurant in Bar Harbor.

Decor was really tasteful for their 50s ambiance, however the food was not. I ordered the French onion soup which was overly salty and the croutons were clearly from an old stale bag. The "Maine lobster" Cabonara resembled something Ive made in a drunken stupor at 3 am. I would have liked some pasta with that sauce. They overcompensated the bland sauce by dumping more on top. Staff looked bored.

Beautiful place, nice atmosphere with decor of 50s-60s, cars and cool antiques. Service was slow, portions were small and prices were high. Maybe thats just the standard for Bar Harbor, but not great for us, we left hungry. The salads and the kids meals did not include any bread rolls, such small things can make a big difference. Fun atmosphere though, unique interior design, worth a visit.

Cute place lots of things to occupy your eyes while you wait. Hostess seemed clueless and wait staff overwhelmed on a not so busy Tuesday evening. Food was run of the mill American fair. Fries and fried shrimp were tasty but the cesar salad had too much dressing. The milk shake was good, blueberry soda and the mixed drinks were refreshing, we just wished we had tried a different place.

It looks like a really fun place from the outside...a little creepy inside. The decor is a little over the top cluttered for my taste, but at least theres a lot to look at. It sort of feels like eating in an antique store...so if thats your thing, youll love it. The food was decent, but the milkshakes were GREAT! Would go back just for those.

The Caesar salad was good, the fried mac and cheese tasted like oily, breaded Kraft, and the chocolate cake was a little too dry for my tastes -- but oh my god, the decor was SO GOOD. 50s antiques, old license plates, neon, and repurposed church windows define this place. I want to live in this restaurant.

Its tucked away on Cottage St, and its worth grabbing lunch or dinner (especially if you have children with you). My family all got the pulled pork dinner and said it was amazing. It does have a Hard Rock cafe feel to it (without all the loud music and hustle and bustle) because of the memorabilia.

This is most certainly a fun place to eat - you can be entertained just by looking at all the childhood memories that have been collected by the former owner, Freddy. Food is just OK - not spectacular. Quality on that end left when the original owner, Freddy, sold it. But is is a fun place.

I remember this place for the décor, not the food. Come here for lunch and grab a burger or a sandwich and enjoy the thousands of 50s nostalgia items scattered everywhere you look. Its a fun place to eat, and for that reason I know it will always be a stop on my visits to Bar Harbor.

Went there for lunch with no referral at all. I selected it because of the chalk board menu with descriptions and prices. Our waitress was Jackie and she was great, very nice relaxing atmosphere and good food. We enjoyed the experience. Definitely recommend. Prices are good.

Morgan our waitress was super nice ! My family and I came here hoping for great food and they exceeded our expectations! Highly suggested if you love a 50s feel and great food, the place has so much to look at and so much history behind the items! 10/10 would recommend!

Seafood Pizza, trust me its insanely good. Hostess looked like she could be elsewhere, waitress was really nice and the hamburger is just an average burger. Place has its ups and downs but the seafood pizza is good enough to forget all the downs

Servers were complaining about the host not seating them in proper rotation as the host is seating us... I had chicken club sandwich which was dripping grease... otherwise our server was a nice girl and the bang bang shrimp was delicious

Staff is great. We walked up to this place 15 minutes before closing, and they were still very happy to seat us. Food was pretty good, and the atmosphere is very well done. Would definitely go back again next time Im around the area.

After hearing a few recommendations to go here, I was disappointed by my meal. Had the Cobb salad, which was decent but nothing to write home about. Others in my party had a burger and didnt like it so much. Did not live up to the hype.
