The wife and I had a whale watching tour cancelled due to really heavy fog, so we decided to tool around Beat Harbor for the day, visiting shops and such. While eating lunch across the street, we noticed Dog and Pony, and decided to stop in for a beer. The bartender, Dan, was super friendly and helped my wife find a beer she liked. While enjoying my beer, I watched Dan make a drink for another customer, called the Sneaky Tiki. This drink was 95% alcohol, with juice added for coloring, so I had to try one. The combination of rums, juices, and amaretto took the boat drink to a whole new level! Seriously, try this drink! The music playing was very laid back (mostly DMB!!!) And a lot of the staff were singing along and seemed to be having a good time while they worked, adding to the great atmosphere. They have a PlayStation system and a selection of board games for patrons to enjoy, as well as a huge patio with a fun ring game. The place seemed pretty family friendly during the day, but I could imagine it having a more adult atmosphere at night. Dan told us the bar closes at midnight, but the have a window that serves late night takeout for bar crawling zombies. This was one of my favorite places we visited during our week in Maine, and the Sneaky Tiki was by far the best drink I had! Check them out!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, kitchen is open until midnight so its a good place to grab a drink and a late bite to eat. Wings are great, spicy and meaty. Putine fries served in a dog bowel were especially fun. Fried haddock Po boy special didnt come with the option of being "fully dressed" as this seems unfamiliar here, but they were happy to provide a side of lettuce & tomato upon request to accompany the existing sauce, slaw and pickles on the plate and the end result was good. It was nice to have the option to take our food and sit out on the deck which was has a quieter lounge/backyard BBQ feel and a secondary bar. Drinks were very reasonably priced.

Pretty nice place to eat. They run specials every night and it seems like the specials normally are some of the best things they have. I was really impressed with a buffalo chicken flatbread. The lobster roll was pretty decent also. The only thing we didnt like was that the lobster mac and cheese, while having plenty of lobster, was filled with lobster bisque instead of cheese. Just not what we were expecting and we would have ordered something different if we had known.

Best Damn Lobster roll Ive ever had in New England and only $12.95 Loaded with chilled lobster twice as much as Ive had at places that charge $17.95 Its a local joint nothing fancy, nice patio I dont know about the other food but get that "Lobster Roll". Our waitress Angela was very helpful and cheerful explaining the different beers on tap.I will be back next year for more.

Great place for drinking. Went there for drinks one night, great prices, and good atmosphere. However, we returned for dinner a few days later, and were underwhelmed. The tomato vodka penne smelled great, but lacked flavor. The Cuban was pretty good. Had really great service at the inside bar, but not as good service on the patio.

We LOVE Dog & Pony. Great food, great price and great atmosphere. You dont have that touristy, rushed feeling while still being in the heart of Bar Harbor. Its that local spot you like to call home. Staff is always super friendly and have great attitudes.

Came in for dinner. The place was less than busy. After sitting for 10 minutes and being totally ignored by the bar tender and several waitstaff we decided to leave. Walked across the street to the side street cafe and was amazed at the service and food.

Funny and lovely place. Food is ok (probably place latest serving food at Bar Harbor) but beer and liquor are better. That place could accept your personal check like a payment. Weird, isnt?

Non American tourists beware: this bar will refuse to serve you drinks if you dont have an American ID. Waitress said it was their policy. Really strange for such a touristic location.

They had a menu on their website that was wrong and even their menus at their site was inaccurate. It took far to long for the food to get to me and my family and it was okay quality.

The management is blatantly misogynistic, homophobic, and racist -- all rolled into one. There are far better places in town to bring your business. Also, food is mediocre at best.

Their outside area is really well set up and has a great vibe..trees come up through the deck and there a couple bar games. Worth the stop in to relax with a friend and a cold one

Great food for reasonable price (compared to some others in the area). Service was great. Our server was incredibly busy since the place was full but managed to stay up to it.

Listed as pet friendly, but actually allow service dogs only. I have no comment as to the menu or service, but they should be removed from the "pet friendly" list.

Good food, great service, relaxed atmosphere, awesome portion sizes. A half rack ribs mean with two sides was a lot of food and the ribs were really awesome

Poutine is amazing but it is definitely different with beef gravy and had an unfiltered cider that hit the stop. Also, very friendly down to earth staff

The pasta of the day was good! The lobster dishes come in small potions for the price. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff is good.

The lobster roll was a disappointment to me. The draught ale was good on the other hand and its a cheerful place.

Good bar food, lots of drinking options, usually a game is on. Definitely has a bit of a rougher crowd usually.

Probably one of the best pubs on the island. They have a great outdoor area, that is awesome in the summer!

Nice atmosphere, good service, but the lazy lobster I ordered was a tiny portion and somehow too salty.

The food was decent. We had to go get our own server. But once she showed up at the table she was good.

Decent pub food and a young crowd. One of the few places that serves late.
