Three times here has been enough for me to decide its not worth coming back. First time I thought I might have been hitting them in an off moment. But that was actually the best of the encounters. Dont come here if you have allergies. Lots of cross contamination and ignorance. I asked for ingredients of a baked good and no one knew. I ordered a salad and it can different from the menu. This last visit I stood at the counter waiting to be acknowledged (no other customers in line) and finally had to ask the two girls behind the counter if they were still open for business. I dont blame them as they both looked to be underage so likely have next to no customer service skills. However the same type of encounter happened on my second visit too. The salad I had to have them remake (which pains me as I hate wasting food) was too big for the plate and it was hard to eat without spilling. I also had to pick around a fair number of rotten greens (which I expected due to another reviewer.) The sandwich my fiancé ate made him sick to his stomach. He overheard them saying in the back something like "dont bring that near me, Ill throw up" before it was brought out. He requested that we never return. Seems like the original owner should have stayed or just closed shop. The new version isnt working.

Really horrible experience in the two times that Ive come here. The first time, I had the southwest chickn salad with a smoothie on the side (I dont remember the name, but it had rosewater and coconut oil). The smoothie was quite good, however, it was wildly expensive and shouldnt be charged at the price it was for a subpar restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The salad made me sick to my stomach and I seriously thought I had food poisoning after eating it. My boyfriend got the same salad with real chicken, however, his came out about an hour after mine (when I was already done eating), because they FORGOT to make it. Not to mention we were one of the only patrons in the restaurant. So what did we do? We went back! I thought, hey, I could give it another shot. Well, it was worse. I got their BBQ jackfruit sandwich on vegan bread and the bread was so small the entire sandwich was leaking out onto the plate. The actual flavors were good but then I found a hair in my jackfruit which really sealed the deal. I cant wait for this place to close and save people from feeling horrible. Would NOT recommend at all.

I had pretty much given up on Fork & Spoon after it changed hands because the quality of the food and service dropped significantly. Unfortunately, I decided to give them another shot today hoping the issues they were having had been resolved. My salad today (Roots and Wild Rice) proves their problems continue. At these prices, kale should not by slimy, nor yellow. If it reaches that point, you throw it out. Ill pick around it because Im not wasting more time to return to complain in person, but wont ever be back and will be advising anyone who will listen to stay away too. Hopefully the baker (who is good) jumps ship soon before he is dragged down with the rest of the restaurant.

A bit of a disappointment that its no longer a vegan/vegetarian place. It was the reason we went (and I was so excited, as I dont eat animals.) Once here, it wouldnt take much to dramatically improve the atmosphere... a little music if anything. They really need to work on the ordering process, finding the menu was hard and not at all friendly for a first timer. Overall, the food was pretty good and I am thrilled to have a restaurant serving some plant based foods as the main course. I am a frequent juicer and loved their options!

One of my favorite places to eat in Bangor and the only local place Ive found that is 100% gluten free + vegan. Always fresh ingredients, many of which are local. Their recently expanded menu includes juices, smoothies, salads, soups and sandwiches and is sure to please vegans and non-vegans alike. Expect to pay an average of $10-15 for lunch (salad or sandwich and a juice). Its a fair price for the healthy and quality ingredients.

I didnt know of the change in ownership and was sadly disappointed to see the portions of the salad were less than half what they were, the same goes for the smoothies. (Wild root salad) The sweet potatos were also mush. We always went out of our way to stop here but not anymore.....

Nice place and great options. I do appreciate it that they expanded outside of the vegan/GF options. Service seemed slow for just a sandwich or anything in the special column.

Great, great, zucchini paninni sandwich. Tasty Maine root beer and attentive and professional staff. Highly recommend. Took my scooter 20 miles from Frankfort to eat here!.
