Went here for the first time today. Our last attempt had a 30 min. wait, so we passed. Decor is nice - tasteful, simple, urban and classy. We were seated immediately and attended to in short order. Our waiter was super friendly and I liked him a lot. Ordered the lunch special - single burger, fries, half salad - for $9.00. The food came pretty quickly and was fresh, hot and super tasty. I loved everything I had - esp the burger. The meat in the burger was particularly good; the waiter told us the meat was a blend of three different meats. The fries were great, too. I thought the flavor on the fries and the burger was really good - better than most places. However, the single burger (normally Im told its a double patty) itself is pretty thin. Normally the burgers come with two patties, so maybe that would have been more substantial. The place is pricey. The cheapest burger is $9.50. The cheapest entree is the Caesar salad at $8 and that looks to be without chicken. The cheapest "snack" (app) is fries at $6.50. The menu is pretty simple, but the items offered do sound delicious. Also, the cooks (at least the ones who do the burgers) are in the front of the restaurant, able to be seen by everyone. While I didnt mind this at all, I was surprised to see that no one had hair nets on. I have no idea whats standard in terms of cook sanitation these days - and I am not a germ/hair freak at all - but was surprised to see a cook with very long hair in nothing but a skullcap. My only real complaint is the price. $11.76 for lunch is a bit too much (that included tip). Otherwise everything else was really good. I do look forward to going back to try a shake or an appetizer, but it wont make the regular lunch rotation for me due to cost.

After a couple attempts I was able to get in and seated. I have tried 2x before with nearly an hour wait, but its nothing they can control and one cannot hold it against them for being popular. I think the staff was great, the setting was nice, but to me the burger meat was lacking. The burgers were dressed nicely. Their choice and combinations of of fixings/toppings make the burger. I was just not a fan of the burger meat when I ate it plain. To me it did not taste much different than a culvers burger. The portions were good enough for me. As for price they seem to be on par with other local places. The menu was limited but there were a few unique items I would like to try when I go back. Id say the place is worth a shot. Take my opinion for what its worth you might love it. It is just my 2 cents.

Finally decided to write a review. I have been coming through here since it opened.... I know not really that long ago, however the first experience was a touch rough but the staff was attentive and friendly, the place was packed and they were all still learning the menu and flow. I have been back a half dozen or so time since and it has finally come together nicely. The burgers are nice (I actually like the blend of beef has a aged quality to it), portions are right, prices are on point with the area and motif (this is not the type of place to get a 10lb burger). Drink selection is really good as well. If you are looking for something a little more upscale but can still smash on a burger and some beers, then Central Standard is the place to go.

The "Sunny Side Up Burger" was probably the best overall burger Ive ever eaten. Have had a few of the others, really appreciate all the aiolis and higher quality ingredients used. The buns are fresh and soft, the fries are hand-cut and incredible. All in all, this place reminds me of a higher-end, more sophisticated Five Guys, and believe me when I tell you thats a compliment of the highest order. A lot of people wont like this place because the burgers arent thick, 1/2 lb patties. IMO there are more than enough places to go for burgers like that. I wanted something different and unique in a burger, and Central Standard delivered! 5/5!

They have different burger options that are unique. Their fries are fresh cut with the peels still on. It is an open kitchen so you can watch them prepare your meal. They have Pepsi products including diet mountain dew and lots of cocktail and beer options. They also have adult shakes which I want to try next time. Their burger buns are soft and sometimes dont hold up to the burger and all the toppings. I will say that some components of the burgers were disappointing ( kimchi, prosciutto, and a very running sunny side up egg), but over all it is a nice alternative to the normal cheese burger and fries.

I would give Central Standard a 5/5 on decor...however, when it comes to the food and price...I would have to say 1/5...felt it was very pricey for the food that we received. Hamburgers were thin and very few fries. It is a double burger but even then, not much there. Also, observed what we believed was a manager, put his hand in a salad that we then watched be delivered to a table (as well as wipe a wet plate off with his bare hand and hand it to the cooks behind the counter). Definitely wont go back...

I was here a couple months ago and had the blue burger which was outstanding with the cheddar tots which were quite a large portion and very good also. I also had a small caesar salad which was your basic salad but it was a larger portion than most restaurants and was very fresh and good. I do see how some could says its overpriced but in my experience I got what I paid for and will definitely come back. This place is for sure worth a try!!

The food was absolutely amazing, best burger I have ever eaten. I realize it was a Friday night, it should not take more than a 1/2 hour to receive service, nor should others be seated ahead of people because they "know the staff". Our server was sub par. I know she had three or four tables but only came back to our table one time. Our drinks sat empty and our plates sat as well. Again, good food, very pricey and bad service

Great selection of burgers, fresh ingredients, and superb service. Burger patties are hand made vs. the typical frozen junk youll find elsewhere. Decor is excellent with a good beer selection, as well as great specials for both Happy Hour & certain days of the week. Very excellent overall!! A bit pricey Ill admit, but not enough to deter me from going again, nor recommending to others.

Decor and vibe - 5/5 very nice, urban ceilings and pipes, and very laid back, lots of tvs Food- 2/5 everything is beyond salty Burger- extremely subpar or below par, and expensive especially given its below mediocrity Draft Beers- nothing special, can find at local wine and spirits Price- 1/5, extra for ranch Definitely wont go again.

I do not eat hamburger so I had the Black Bean Burger and it was amazing. Everybody else at my table had burgers and they all loved them. The asparagus was the best I have ever had. I do wish there was more options on the menu but I have been craving that Blackbean burger ever since! Our waitress was amazing also!
