Just spent $15 here and got half a dozen of the most delicious glazed donuts I ever had, 2 giant Apple turnovers, 2 delicious lemon squares, 1 giant tummy cream cheese custard pastry,1 gummy and huge loaf of bananna nut bread, and 2 pints of chocolate milk. These are some of the beat pastries and donuts I ever had in my life. I missed out on the Apple fritters, sadly. My boyfriend says he loves them there. Hopefully I can get there earlier tomorrow to get some and some more donuts as Ill never go to another bakery again :) great price for great munchies, WAY BETTER THAN KRISPY CREAMS INDEED

The reason the doughnuts and apple fritters are so fabulous is because my uncle is the baker! His parents owned Bons Bakery in Plaquemine, LA for years & all 5 boys learned the bakery business. I grew up in this bakery & have some old pics of the operation from my dad. He never gets the recognition he deserves. My uncle is the youngest of the 5. Some of the boys have passed away, as welll as my grandparents. Bons Bakery closed years ago, & when my uncle retires, you will never, ever taste doughnuts, apple fritters, etc. like this ever again!
