why am I just now finding this gem? Oh my goodness!! After moving here from Texas Ive been missing good tacos, and this place did not disappoint!! The prices are great! And dont let the small size fool you, theyre packed full of your choice of meat! The refried beans were good, different, but good. Not sure if they put coffee, chocolate or mole in them, very unique flavor!! Queso was just so -so, but a good portion. The chips were crispy and fresh!! Though I did add salt to them. My husband had the barbacoa, he really liked them. I had the ground beef. While they were disastrously messy, def good flavor. Have your napkins handy!! Small space, but I believe theyre moving to a bigger space in the same shopping center. And Tuesday is all - you - can - eat for $9.99... Good deal! My only suggestion is the cashier needs to smile, talk, wear work appropriate clothes (not a ratty tee, dingy shorts and crocs, and unkept hair). She seemed annoyed that we interrupted her book reading. That said, the food was good enough to overlook one persons attitude. I cant wait to come back and try the nachos, and tamales, etc!

My far the best tacos in town. The service leaves a lot to be desired lately. Im a regular. (4xs a week easily) I havent figured out the code to get them to volunteer the little condement cups they keep secured behind the registered. I figure if I put a tip on my receipt then thatll work, right? Nope, they just turn and run to jabber in spanish with the ladies cooking in the back. I often find myself walking behind the counter and helping myself. That feels awkward. Today they rang up my order wrong and rather offer to fix it, the attendant argued with me. I dont understand the customer service here. Anyway, that was a tip wasted. Ill be taking a break from this establishment for a while. The owner is the only exception to my negative opinion.

Being from Arizona, I know Mexican food well. Went for all you can eat taco Tuesday deal, such a good deal if you can put them down. Tacos were amazing, all the different meats I tried were exquisite. Most authentic tacos Ive had in Baton Rouge. Im a hot sauce fan and all the different options exceeded my expectations. Staff was friendly, cook even came out to ask how I enjoyed my meal, left a great impression on me. Will definitely be going back. Would give 5 stars but location and stand for sauces, etc was awkward, along with the paper ketchup cups, larger plastic ones would be much better. Regardless, this is the place to go for your taco Tuesday needs!

What a pleasant suprise to find a excellent Mex food, service and pride in ownership. Went last Saturady afteroon and could not have een more happy wit the overall experinece, I know people from BTR think the restaurants are good here but they just arent. So to find a shop with this type of overall mix is a big plus. See you soon!

The first time I ever went to Mr. Taco was about 5 months ago. I ate more than what I should have!!!! Everyone greets you as soon as you walk in the door.. Reasonably priced, the best Mexican food in town, and I go maybe 2-3 times a week when I can... I havent had one bad thing since I have been going there.. THE BEST!!!

Food was just OK, I was expecting a knock-your-socks-off experience after seeing the menu items. They seemed so authentic, portions were very small for price. Best item we had today was the Agua Horchata (rice water), it was the real deal. Maybe a good deal on all you can eat taco day, see pictures.

Worst tacos Ive ever had in Baton Rouge, which is saying something because Ive never found a stand out mexican restaurant in town... the bar is already low. tortillas taste like wet paper, meat and fajitas flavorless and with bizarre texture... overcooked. .. terrible terrible terrible.

Horrible custom service. They do not say hello just asks what do you want. When my chip was sticking out the container, the guy just shoved it into the box without wearing gloves. The food was great tasting though.

Actual Mexican style tacos, papusas, and flautas. Horchata on tap if thats your thing. And they give you way too much queso when you order chips. The place is TINY on inside, so be prepared.

I had the authentic street tacos with Barbaco. Tortillas were flavorless. The meat tasted weird and was dripping grease. I do not recommend. Queso was not bad, but chips were stale.

The tacos were solid. And the staff was pleasant, even during a rather busy lunch rush. The tamales, however, were not good. Too much masa, and under-seasoned. Stick with the tacos.

Omg no sabe como buenos son los tacos de aquí! They passed the taco test. This is authentic. And I loved the music. Theyre perfectly bilingual too. This is not one of the chains.

Nothing perks up the family like saying "Mr. Taco tonight". Their Mixto street tacos are just awesome. Carne asada fries and nachos. Not a drop of their queso is wasted.

Amazing food at an amazing price! Quite possibly Baton Rouges best street tacos, and the all-you-can-eat deal for them on Tuesdays is a steal. Definitely worth a visit!

The salsa is amazing. Not too spicy, with almost a BBQ flavor. The price is also pretty impressive...I got three tacos, chips, salsa, and a drink for less than $10.

One of those great hole in the wall places for South American food. Much more than tacos. Try something you dont recognize and youll likely love it.

Really good street tacos. I havent tried anything else because the tacos are just that good. Salsa bar has many selections, but are underwhelming.

So good! Finally someone who can make fish tacos! My only complaint is i need more napkins because I make a mess tearing into those tacos!

Best Mexican food in baton rouge. It has a new owner, but the recipes are still the same. The menus and pricing have changed a bit.

Best tacos hands down. I lived in AZ for 15 yrs and these street tacos are exactly like the ones we ate at least twice a week.

A wide range of taco options, a large salsa bar, and a pretty good horchata. Best of all the prices are good.
