Heres a haiku for you: What happened Hunan? Was it the economy? Oversalted food In all seriousness, the food was overly salty (are they trying to mask something?) and there was actually some crawfish shells in one of the dishes, bleh. The selection is limited (around 10 dishes to select from) for a normal buffet, with two different soups: hot and sour and egg drop soup. There is also a dessert bar but I usually avoid that not knowing how long the fruit/jellos are out in the open. Hunan was known for its quality but it seems to be going down each year.

Not only is the food always fresh and delicious, the staff are amazing! Every time we come, we leave with full bellies and a smile! They allowed me to breastfeed my baby in one of the closed dinning rooms. They are always very friendly with my kids. They also give more than enough food! I love this place! The prices arent too bad either, especially for how much you get.would recommend everyone try this place!

I was unhappy with the quality of food that I had. Is there a new type of oil being used? a new chef? The food was very bland. I was surprised that the food did not have a taste. I am hoping that this is not consistent in the future. I would like to continue to go back. Also, the attitude of the server was undesirable. She looked like she did not want to be there and it reflected in her demeanor.

Used to be reliably good, but not sure what has happened lately. My family used to frequent this location but after one visit when we had a large party and had an underwhelming meal, it appears the food has been deteriorating. Have not been in a while, except for take out. Nothing to write home about. There has to be better in Baton Rouge.

I had surgery and cant have anything fried which makes it hard to get good take out food. Tonight I tried the grilled chicken. It was grilled chicken with onions. It was very good. Its nice to have a good healthy option. We ordered with the waitr app. My wife got an egg roll and it was very good. Not too thick and not too greasy.

We arrived at 2:26 not realizing the lunch buffet ran until 2:30. The staff was very friendly, sat us without hesitation and did not rush us whatsoever. Many food options, delicious and hit the spot. Am visiting from Wisconsin but will be returning to Hunan whenever Im in Baton Rouge.

This is one of the more popular Chinese buffets in Baton Rouge, I have had way better in the New Orleans area, however theres nothing I can really complain about it. Its a little more pricey than your typical Chinese buffet, which is why I would prefer to go to others.

I used to enjoy eating Korean seafood noodle soup here but recently I found its taste has completely changed. Also kungpao chicken was watery and less appetizing. I asked the server if chef has changed. The answer was "yes". Not going back again.

We went to eat at 3:00 pm, the service was TERRIBLE, after 20 minutes, no offer to take our drink order, there was only us and another couple in there, we got up and went next door to the Londoner Pub and grill. We got immediate service there.

We eat here for office lunch fairly regularly. Good selection and quick swappouts of fresh food on their buffet. Friendly staff and you always see someone new on Mr Hunans wall of photos.
