Where was this place when I was growing up in BR?! I took my family out here when I was in town after reading all the rave reviews and it did not disappoint! Service was quick and the restaurant itself is relatively clean though small, maybe 15-20 tables max? They ran out of the Cubano sandwich that day--Im guessing its one of their more popular sandwiches. The sandwiches we did try--the Brisket and New Yorker--were both tasty and the meat was tender. Portion size was standard. Definitely way better than Local Foods in Houston--that place I have to say is overrated imo. Price is a little on the high end for a sandwich (around 10 dollars if I remember correctly) but for quality, Id say its worth it. Finding parking can be a bit of a challenge as there was limited space under the bridge. You might have better luck finding parking space at their other location in the Bocage area near Whole Foods. The next time Im in town, Im hoping Ill finally have the chance to try out the sandwich I missed.

The Cubano is my recommendation for lunch or dinner. Their grits bowl is a delight for breakfast. The addition of breakfast, starting at 7 am, is great! I enjoy the bloody Mary, which has the perfect level of spice, but the bacon chocolate chip cookie is better in theory than reality. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. They let me bring in my coffee from Magpie the first time I went for breakfast because I wasnt sure if theyd have it. Ask for extra pickled onions with your grits bowl!

Let me preface this review by saying that Ive actually had really nice dining experiences here in the past, but our last visit was not. The girl at the register was straight up rude to us, our charcuterie board came out with no explanation of what cheese and meat was what, we had to go back in to request bread to go with it, and lastly, the people next to us that ordered a cheaper board ended up getting more food than us. Ill probably just start going to the Jefferson location only now.

Service: Great! Nice people, eager to know how you like their food. Know what theyre talking about. Food: Great! So much taste. I suggest the Cubano, but anything over there is sure to be a safe bet. Everything about this place struck me right. The food, the people, the design, the atmosphere. Just a great place for lunch w/ fair prices considering the experience you receive in return. A great selection of drinks, too. Must go!

Excellent sandwiches and charcuterie options! Saturday and Sunday brunch is served as well. I got the Texas melt and it was delicious, tons of juicy brisket and gooey cheddar cheese on top of perfectly toasted Texas toast. Best sandwiches in baton rouge. On top of all that, the staff is incredibly friendly and they have an excellent selection of local beers as well.

Truly a special experience in Baton Rouge. Brunch is my favorite time to go. Get the country fried brisket or City Pork Bowl. Awesome. Also, the service is very friendly and personable. I like this location in particular for its deli-style dining, ordering and seating.

Portions are completely off. If you have a blue collar job dont go here. I got their taco special and all it was was three 3 inch flour tacos. This was 15 dollars and one of the most expensive items on the menu. Any place else this would have been a appetizer.

This is a great place to grab lunch. The selection on the menu ranges from cuban sandwiches to charcuterie. They smoke all their own meats and sell them in the deli cooler in the front. The duck breast and tasso are things youll want to take home with you.

The food was disappointing. I ordered a burger and my bread was soggy. Our soft drinks were disgusting; almost tasted as if there were chemicals in it. Sad to say, I wasnt impressed. Ive heard a lot of great things about this place.

Could probably be a 5/5 but for inconsistency. The Cubano can be the best Cuban in town or a sloppy, mustard-drowned mess. The price is also a little steep, but when theyre firing on all cylinders its definitely worth it.

Food was good but didnt like the fact that the server did not use gloves for our food. He used a bare hand. It mixed flavors from pickled, smoked and sweet. Not to mention, it was cooked foods and very unsanitary.

Its fairly expensive for what it is. Food is hit/miss. Its a cool location, but the other City Pork (Jefferson) is much better. Also got food poisoning from a sandwich here once.
