12/26/14 - I attended this eatery at 8:30pm...from the beginning I was met at the door by a nice hostess with a smile. From that point on...that was it. If it wasnt for the nice hostess giving the menu and made me feel welcome, that registers the one star. I was seated...then waited....5 minutes, 10 minutes....I knew when I walked in, it was 830p. The restaurant was at BEST 40% capacity. The two servers looked overworked and I knew I just was sat after a rush. I helped run my brothers restaurant for years, worked on the line, and I know what a rush is....this was a complete joke. 17 minutes after studying the complete menu which was very small...studied...and right before I was going to leave then...but another server, NOT in charge of my section, said.."Your server will be with you in few minutes?". She had seen me look the menu over.....but NEVER asked me for my drink at all....just ".....your server will be with you in a few minutes." This place is a joke and in front of me there was a table of 6 family members, two adults and four kids....I noticed the father was looking for his bill...it was clear they werent properly served properly anyway. The majority of the diners were young and under 25, and maybe they are used to sub-par service. When a customer, guest, does not even get his drink order in 17 minutes....no thanks. This was my first visit and LAST. No thanks, please Burgersmith, get a clue on how to run a restaurant. You wont get a dollar from me but improve for the young people so they can see what a hustler is in this wonderful business. Whatever you do dont go HERE!

Went here a couple weeks ago and Id have to agree with some of the previous reviews on here. Garlic-butter fries are the highlight of the menu. I found it funny that no other review really touched on the burgers. Well the wife and I both got the burger with the spice on it. Cant recall what it was named exactly on the menu but like most places that are not Louisiana oriented, I should have known to stay away from the burger. It was like someone just dumped red pepper on it and called it Cajun spice. Pretty patronizing if you ask me. Well the smith sauce is nothing to write home about either. I usually get mayo on the burger but the waitress talked me out of it telling me the smith sauce was just like mayo... Anyways, I wont be back, too much traffic in the area for this kind of food and theres a 5 guys in BTR.

I did a review early with a 5 star until I went to the one on Siegen Lane. OMG it was horrible. I asked for well done and when I got to the other half of my Buger there was so much pink. The waitress told me that they could put the rest of my burger on the grill and bring it back out, and she was serious. The manager did take the burger off after he told her no and I asked for her to send him out, but I think it was how she presented it to him, because when he came out I didnt have to put up a fuss. The fries were extremely spicy, the fries at the one on Perkins are just right. I promise you there is definitely a difference in the locations. I ate at the one on Perkins 3 times with no complaints , even when we went close to closing time, but Siegen lane U will never see me again.

Went last Saturday and order a burger and waited 45 minute I kind of look over and went there last night and waited over an hour to get a burger and an order of fries. the people there wait on certain kind of people. I sat at the bar and everyone that was at the bar got there food and I am still waiting. the bar was cleared out three times and my food never came up. Ask for my money back and left. the worker are not very friendly. Customer service bad. didnt offer a drink while waiting I wouldnt have taken it. Will not be going back. I dont know the owner but I hope they are not like the people they hired. Dont recommend to anyone.

Dont try to go on a lunch hour, you will be late getting back to work. I went with coworkers and it took about 45 minutes to get out food out. The only thing that was hot was my friend okra, everything else was slightly warm. My friend told the waitress no onions, she absolutely cannot eat onions. The waitress, with and attitude took it the back and scrapped them off and then returned. Not acceptable. The waitress had a horrible attitude, the manager was not helpful and honestly did not care. Will not be back.

Simple: local burgers, made great. Forget what you know of "artisanal, hand-crafted", blah, blah, blah. Fresh ingredients, fast service, fantastic approach to taking a staple dish to the next level with a regional flair. From fries to lamb burgers, everything is a refeshing interpretation. The beer list is superb, capturing the states long embrace of doing beer right. Old faithful Abita is in effect, but you can expand your horizons with NOLA and LA 31. LOVE this place when Im in town.

Last night, Friday 02/19/16 was my first visit, so I was a little unsure of the menu and what I would like the most. Matt was my server and he started me off with a great Tin Roof Beer. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he suggested the Filet Burger, "BurgerSmith Style." Let me tell you, it was very good! I loved it! And Matt was great too. He didnt bug me a lot. He checked in every once in a while and let me enjoy. It was a great first experience. I will definitely dine there again.

Impossible to go during a lunch hour. Slowest service ever. Waitress with an attitude. Food was served nearly cold. Ordered burger without onion and was served with grilled onion. When I asked for a new burger, not the one with the onions removed, the waitress was condescending and rude. The manager was polite but didnt have an ounce of care about our unhappiness. Similar situation happened in July 2015. I certainly wont be back.

Burgersmith has become a regular lunch stop for my friends and I at work. Their burgers are competitively priced but are exceptionally juicy and just taste so good. I really like their butter and garlic fries which are a must every time I go. Burgersmith is easily one of the top 3 burger places in town.

Great selection of burgers - I had the filet burger prepared medium rare and it was awesome! The regular fries were also great - perfectly cooked and tasted like really fresh potatoes. Lastly, they have a solid selection of local craft beers - various styles from multiple breweries - really good stuff .

Its probably the best burger I have ever eaten, and as a french guy I consider myself kind of exigent with food. The meat was perfectly cooked and the fries were great too! I also had a strawberry ice cream that was excellent. This is definitely a good place to discover what hamburger is all about!
