This is more of an old diner feel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We went there for lunch when we were in a hurry to eat and run. The food here is very inexpensive and has the usual 24 hours diner staple. There were old Seeburg Consolette in every booth. The music from the jukebox will give you some genre whiplash as it plays, Korn, Nsync, Pink Floyd, Rihanna right after another. We had the fish and chips (which for some reason can be found under the sandwich section of the menu) and the burger with mac and cheese side. The fish was a bit salty, but the unsalted steak fries helped with the saltiness. The burger was huge in serving and was sufficient. The mac and cheese was a bit lacking in flavor. However, their sweet tea with free refill was delicious. Its a decent place to grab a quick bite to eat.

Waited for over half an hour for waitress to even take my order. The people behind us were seated after us and ate before our order was even taken. Waited another half an hour everyone at my tables orders were taken, waited longer, they brought their food but not mine, waited EVEN MORE and received something that wasnt anything like what I ordered, waited some more and then gave up and went to bed hungry. Awful service, the crowd was drunk and disorderly, the waitress clearly didnt care about her job or the customers. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but it was the absolute worst experience I have ever had dining in my life. Avoid at all costs.

Foods great! Servers not so much! After telling the lady I was ready to order she finished up what she was doing (which is understandable) she walks to the back and started talking to a friend and drinking her drink as if we werent there. She had to notice I was staring at her for a good five minutes before she even came to take our order. Her response was "this isnt a fast food restaurant honey" which I completely get but you dont just randomly take a break knowing you have customers waiting on you! AGAIN, I get that she was busy but she should know how to do her job and not have a attitude about it!

I came to pepperpod hoping to enjoy a local family friendly Restraunt. Instead I saw a cockroach crawl out between the layer of a stack of pancakes. I asked for a refund/discount and was rudely declined by the owner and waiter. I was very unpleased with the service and was disgusted by how unsanitary the "Restraunt" was. I will not be returning to Pepperpod and would strongly reccommend for you to also.

The entertainment factor, period. The food is...ehh, the coffee....blghh, it is a smokey smoking establishment, service is slow, and its kind of dirty looking. However, on day shift there is a waitress who is rather sing-songy with everything...you just have to experience it to understand. On night shift, they have a bouncer...you know theres good people watching at a diner with a bouncer!

Unless you like eating around smokers I wouldnt recommend. The first section is all smoking and even the servers smoke...There is a second room with no ventilation for non-smokers. Seemed unsanitary and the service and coffee was lousy. Id recommend IHOP where the food is better, is cleaner and you dont have a smoky atmosphere.

Great little family-owned Greasy Spoon in historic Newport. Barton Family celebrating 60 years in business. The food here is made from scratch. Hot, fresh and tasty. Friendly and fast service. Can get breakfast anytime. Smoking permitted but still a nice quiet atmosphere for a quick bite. Feel good kinda place!

I really like this place the people are always so nice and just the atmosphere of the people and the place its all very welcome and a great place to take the kids. I remember going there as a child with my grandparents. I still enjoy going back there to visit. Let me say they have some great country cooking.

Just heard about this place and absolutely loved it! Fast and friendly service, 24 hrs, and the food was cheap. I think what sold me was it being a 24 hr establishment. A lot of the customers seemed like regulars which gives it a home-like feel. Ill definitely be back!

I love coming to this place, even during the day and completely sober. The goetta omelette is great and the price is cheap. The atmosphere here is very local where everyone knows each other and are very friendly. This place is one of a kind.

I love this place. Its a great place to take family and friends. I would say five stars but late nights about 11 a woman that works there isnt to attentive to drinks. Sat for 20 mins after moving my coffee mug to the end of the table.

Great food cheap lovely people. But it is smokey. Very smokey. But its convient and nice. I recromend this. But the non smoking has 0 ventilation. GO UP TO REGISTER TO PAY. AND FLAG DOWN THE STAFF thats expected there. Its a non issue

Do not eat here if you dislike cigarette smoke. Good food but even the nonsmoking section reeks of cigarettes. It would be a great eclectic place were it not for this but as it stands i strongly disliked it. Unfortunate.
