After reading reviews, I went in knowing about the slow service. But I didnt remember how small this place was. Having an infant in a carrier and stressed out people around me made this place feel pretty cramped. Our over easy Eggs came out in no time. But my dads omelette took much longer and we never seemed to have the full attention of our waitress who didnt really care. Oh, well. So many reviews mentioned how amazing the biscuits were, that I asked if they are made there - theyre not. This place is full of childhood memories for me, so maybe Ill go back infant-free when Im really in the mood for diner food that was made somewhere else....lol

Went here a while back and their sandwiches was amazing the only downfall is after you get a togo box please dont get to busy and forget it because they will throw it away and dont care how much extra bacon or toppings you added. I had ask the woman if they could make me another one by any chance and she was nasty and said no like we didnt just spend over 30 dollars in there so now i give my money to every one else on Hamilton and always skips this place cause they are not about customer service only about money.

I have been eating at Blue Jay for years. Recently I was relocated back to Knowltons Corner. The Jay has the best of everything breakfast and lunch. My personal favorite is the Roast Beef and Boiled Egg Double Decker fully loaded. This along with their excellent Fries makes for more than a satisfying meal. Really I shouldnt eat it all, because there is so much. I do it anyway. Stuffed to the gills I head back to work. The servers by the way are pretty, charming and accommodating. Ill always go back.

Went with some friends on our lunch break and was very pleased with the plate of the day (meatloaf). The prices are great and the portions are healthy. Only problem was that it took a bit long for us to get our checks but I know this is normally a quick enough place to go on a shorter lunch break.

The Blue Jay opened in 1967 and it looks like its still in 1967. The diner was full when I had my late breakfast there and it seemed like everyone else there was a regular, as the wait staff knew everyone by name. Food came quick, and it was good for the price.

It is a little seat yourself place right off the road. The food was pretty good. It tasted better than it looked and was very reasonably priced. Even on the cheap side for the sizeable portions you got. I would definitely go back again. They take credit cards!

Delicious diner food fit breakfast, attentive and courteous staff. Very extensive menu. I would have given it 5 stars but Im taking off a star for cleanliness and the condition of the bathrooms. my recommendation is to hold it until you get home.

Little hole in the wall gem with weak coffee and great service. We went for breakfast and the food was what we expected. Nothing awesome, but definitely good. I would definitely recommend this place. Nice and quiet and friendly.

I like this place a lot. The food is standard diner fare but the service is pretty friendly, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is really cool. I wish I lived closer.

We live in the neighborhood and love stopping at Blue Jay. Its a fun time warp feel and reminds me of diners my mom took me to when I was a kid. Also they have goetta - yum!

Great food and a nice vintage atmosphere. I dine here on a weekly basis and have never had a bad meal. The staff is very friendly. One of the hidden gems of Northside.

Classic greasy spoon diner with huge, delicious breakfast. The atmosphere is the most old-fashioned and authentic Ive been to in a long time. Highly recommend!

The typical grandparents diner. Old men reading newspapers, and young waitresses bustling around. Average food, but the price and ambience make it a favorite.

Great diner food at a reasonable price in the Northside neighborhood. Theres a good reason the same family has operated the Blue Jay for almost 50 years.
