Poor Management...yesterday evening I had called in an order by which the hostess took my order in informed me it would be about 15 minutes. I got there in about 5 minutes and proceeded to the bar. The bartender who is always great knew what I drink, since I frequent there. He got my drink and I informed him that I had a take-out order. About 20 minutes passed and the other server/bartender, who is also great came over to say hi. After the formalities I had mention that I been waiting about 20/25 minutes for my order. He went to check on it and informed me that the hostess never submitted my order. Since I was on a time crunch, I just tole them to "forget it". What really disturbed me and disappointed me was both bartenders immediately went and told the Manager who was sitting on the opposite side of the bar texting on his phone never got up to apologize to me for the incident, or anything, he just sat there like he could care less. I could not help to feel that this has something to do because I was an African American. As stated before I had frequent this place often, at least once a week and have brought multiple people there. Since Management has the nonchalant attitude when issues arise and lack any basic customer service skills, this is a place I will not be going back to...there are to many other places in the area.

Usually consistent food and service. Off night for us. Ordered the spread plate think it had the potential to be good, but had so much sea salt on the toast, that it was unpalatable.. Chef, this dish does not need salt!!! The Benedictine was excellent,.. pimentocheese- nasty. Snaked salmon spread- just ok. We would have sent back,but our waitress was slammed. Tried to flag a manager as he passed right by, he would not stop. Not returning it was on us... but really .. so salty that my hands are puffy this morning... and I tolerate salt... the rest of the meal was good. Gander usually has consistent quality food and service.Someone just needs to hide the salt in the kitchen. Stick with the fried green tomatoes,yall, they are awesome! Service

A date night dinner for my husband and I. The service felt really slow despite the establishment not being too busy. It took a while to get our drinks/refills/butter. They also got my drink wrong, giving me sweet iced tea when I asked for regular iced tea. Then with my refill I got regular iced tea, but my next refill was sweet iced tea again. The selection of food was fairly small but we both found things we wanted. He got the BBQ ribs and I got the seared pork chops. The food was hot and mostly good. The mashed potatoes werent creamy, instead they felt thick and gummy. Also a big chunk of his ribs was just fat. Overall it wasnt that bad, just some things that need tweaking.

We were seated with the sun in our eyes and asked to be moved. Our beer was warm. We ordered and after the server left we saw a special for Grouper. When our server came back to the table we asked about the special. This upset our server. We had another server take care of us for the rest of the evening because we upset the other one by asking about the special. I ordered 1/2 and 1/2 tea was brought only sweet. Only served water after second server came to the table. Will not be back. I have a bad taste from this first visit.

This restaurant has improved with time. They were busy but we were seated right away. We had our drinks and appetizers fairly quickly. They were yummy! Calimari and chicken livers. Dinner was paced behind our apps and we were checked on twice but the manager on duty to make sure everything was to our liking. We will be back!

My perspective The breast on the grilled chicken sandwich was about 1/4" thick. For a 15$ entrée I think it needs to be a lot bigger The linguine was very bland . The Cesar salad had too much parmesan cheese. The pimento cheese on the gander burger tasted like cheese whiz. Way too expensive for the low quality prep

The wify & I came for Brunch a couple weeks ago. Food was on point, price was fair...13.99. Sat in Bar area with lots of Tvs which were located very well. A sports enthusiast dream location. Lol We also enjoyed the bar tenders conversation & service. I will be back!!

The food was great but I shouldnt have to explain to my kid why people of darker skin tones are treated so rudely. Ill not be returning to this racist restaurant anytime soon were all human we should be treated as such not based on skin color.

We love going to Goose Creek diner. Gander is their sister restaurant. Gander is excellent! Great selection and portion size. Hot brown is amazing and the pretzel appetizer was the best. Also try the chicken Marsala and the Gander burger

Brunch was great for adults but dont take children, especially picky eaters. I asked for just pancakes for my son and got a plain order of 3 small pancakes and a water for the deal price of $8.99. Just lost a customer over that deal.

The food was superb our waitress was great. I will definitely be going there again. They were so accommodating because we didnt eat pork... Most Awesome service ever !! Kudos to the manager....he was Awesome too⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
