This was my first dining experience at Corbetts and it was memorable. We had reservations for 8:30 but arrived at 7:10 due to change a plan and although the restaurant was full, the hostess and manager quickly seated us, wasnt expected but very much appreciated. Our server was Zach and he warmly greeted us. Support staff was quick to provide water, take coats, etc. and all with a friendly smile and lite conversation. Our server asked a few questions about any prior experience and then went through some tasty specials from memory, something always appreciated. I started with a nice Pinot Noir that was light, warm, and satisfying on a cold night. The Tuna Tartar was the special on the appetizer list so I went for that and wasnt disappointed. Nicely portioned, light, finely diced, and fresh beyond words - in short, impressive. Came with small toasted bread and Zach was quick to bring out a few extra pieces so we could enjoy every bite. I went safe on the entree by selected their well received standard, Parmesan Encrusted Halibut served on top of a white truffle oil mashed potato and a few green beans. There is a reason its a standard as I cant recall the last time I thoroughly cleaned my plate and felt perfectly satisfied. Portion sizes, sauces, and taste all blended together nicely. The only small takeaways was that our server was pulled to a large group shortly after our order and became an infrequent visitor. While other staff filled in the gap, it was more from seeing us sitting there than a formal turnover. A coffee at the end of meal arrived lukewarm, and while the dessert menu had many options, none really called out to me (not to say they werent good, just not personally appealing). Nonetheless, these are small things and would not affect me eagerly returning to enjoying a fantastic meal filled with a cozy, inviting atmosphere, supported by friendly staff that were more than happy to make this a great dining experience.

First, the decor is absolutely beautiful. I know people tend to point out the surrounding businesses, but once inside it is absolutely stunning. The service has been top notch every time weve eaten there, and they treat everyone well. Regarding the food, I can believe every review I see. The first time we ate at Corbetts, it was hands down the best meal Ive ever had in my life, and Ive eaten at most every nice restaurant within about 200 miles of Louisville. The next few times we ate there, it was very good, but not knock your socks off. It was hit or miss between "good" and "excellent" the next few times after that. Weve never had a bad meal, though. When its just "good" it is slightly overpriced, but when its on, its a culinary experience to rival some youd find in the largest cities. Im not sure why it seems to go through those cycles, but even when its at its worst, its still one of the top restaurants in Louisville.

Honestly, this place is a 60/40 for me. Basically, I could take it or leave it. We started off with some soup, I got the corn soup with the chipotle corn bread. It was yummy, and a great corn soup overall I was impressed by that. We then got served some bread, and I chose the cranberry one. It was delish! For my entree, I got the filet mignon (from fall menu), and remember liking the filet, but 1 of the 2 sauces wasnt that great, and the beets were awful. For desert, the server allowed us to get the desert from the fixed price menu if we so chose, so I got that which was the pumpkin cheese cake. Someone else at my table got the key lime sorbet. The cheese cake was mediocre, but the sorbet was to die for! At the very end, they served there signature bourbon balls, which are some of the WORST Ive tasted. They are too sweet, and not that great. They also use cheap bourbon for them...

This place by far is the worst fine dining restaurant in the Louisville area. The server checked up on us every 15 seconds and you could hardly breath before he would come back and bother us. He chuckled at my date and I because we didnt understand a certain part of the menu. The food was cold and bland. The decor was nice, but still left a stuffy feel to the entire place. The portions are enough for a 5 year old kid, and not an adult. Our bill was 150 dollars and I felt like I barley ate. Its pretty bad when you stop at DQ on the way home, because your starving after just eating. I would not return to this place or waste my money on over rated kids meals. If you want to eat a real good dinner then check out Jeff Rubys steakhouse.

It was a very disappointing evening. Our waiter Joey left our party of 9 very discouraged. He was rude and impatient. As my friend was trying to order a couple of bottles of wine for the table he abruptly took the wine list from her hands with no help or suggestions of a wine choice to suit us. He rattled through the menu.. We could hardly understand him. It was my best friends husbands 50th birthday. We all wanted a special time.. The food is good but the service really dampened the whole experience....

First time diner for Valentines day. Quality, preparation, and service was excellent. Ambiance is good, not great, house history is interesting. However, being a 200lb adult male in generally fit condition, I was surprised at the very small portion served. Just way too little food especially for the price. Had to eat again when I got home. Probably one of the lowest value meals Ive had. If they served somewhat larger portions, I may go back.

I went there for a surprise dinner after being purposed to, and i would like to say it was the worst service i have ever experienced in my life! A experience i will never forget considering it was my engagement dinner. We called a few days later about how rude and unwilling our server was that night and they just dismissed it like it was nothing, also reveling to us that this wasnt the fist time the server had a complaint on him.

I loved the food - delicious and promptly served appetizers and a huge, but light entree for lunch. I didnt, however, love that it was in the middle of a huge parking lot, within view of a hospital and Home Depot. Its a charming property, but the location is just a downer. If theyd plant huge trees and maybe add some string lights, it would go a very, very long way. Do check out the basement though for private events.

Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. Great presentation and combination of flavors in every dish. Compliment your meal with wine, bourbon or a craft cocktail and life gets even better. Private seating for groups available and the setting, staff and food is perfect. Whats not to LOVE???!!!

Absolutely beautiful restaraunt with amazing service and a fantastic atmosphere. The food quality was also great, but compared not to the expected standard for the price. The five course sampler is definitely worth trying, but it wouldnt be my first recommendation for fine dining in Louisville

My wife and I just had dinner there this evening. It was our first visit and the experience could not have been better. Very friendly staff and the service was incredible. The quality of the food was outstanding. We would recommend this place to anyone.
