Kind of a seedy little place at first glance but decided to give it a try. The menu had many selections that were described in detail and all looked really good. So things are looking up. The service was quick for beverage orders and after naming a few of my common favorite beers that they didnt carry decided on my 4th choice. We ordered the fish and chips and rhe jambalaya both came with a cup of soup included. The soup was okay but only warm. I wasnt able to eat the fresh fish and chips as the fish was either extremely over cooked or frozen, thawed a couple of times , very tough also no tartar sauce. The jambalaya was dull and boring lacking any spices whatsoever. I returned my fish and chips my husband picked at his dinner then just put his fork down in digust. We explained the problems to our server who apologized. When she brought us the bill we were charged in full for everything with a gift card for us to come back. Please folks save your money and move on from this place youll rhank me if you do.

We tried this place for lunch with some friends and then gave it a second chance for dinner a couple of weeks later. There was a lot of hype about the Chef being trained in creole cuisine, but we were not impressed. I got a chicken dish with "creole" sauce that was nothing but sliced green and red peppers with a few onions and a few sprinkles of spice. Long story short, the waiter was way too verbose about his description of dishes and other topics in the restaurant. They could use hiring someone to train the staff. The fish was overcooked (fried) - dark brown - too crunchy to even bite or cut into. Veggies were okay, but nothing special. Bread (if youd call it that) was horrible. Prices were quite high for the quality and quantity of food. Well stick to the bar side and hope they still have good burgers and fries.

My husband and I visited Bluegrass today and were disappointed. The service was good, our drinks were always topped off but, the food was subpar. It was definitely steakhouse price for something you could have made bigger better portions at home for less. For both of our meals our check was over $30 and was worth about $15 (he had one small chicken breast for fried chicken with maybe 10 rubbery greenbeans and an ice cream scoop full of lumpy mashed potatoes and I had this turkey bacon cheese sauce thing with the same sides/portion). Lets just hope they didnt mess up the Mad Mikes side of things when they took over(Will update on the burger side once we try that side out). Overall will probably never go back although they did a lot with the place the food/price was just not there. (Adding pics of our meals as well)

Theyve combined the restaurant and bar into one now. The food is still good and the service is friendly. Unfortunately, what was a nice quiet family restaurant with unique and delicious plates is now just a bar that serves food from a scaled down menu. A follow up to the owners response....The two stars is for the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the family friendly restaurant vs. the "Tavern" style of dining. While the food is great, eating in a smoke filled bar, trying to talk over loud music and louder patrons is just not for myself, my family and anyone looking for a quieter dining experience. It is unfortunate that you were unable to keep both types of the restaurant running, but, I wish you all the luck in the world with the newer format.

Food is great! By far the best bar food Ive had. It is definitely good cooks who opened a bar and are trying to keep the restaurant feel to it. Half the building is a smoking bar the other half is a smoke free restaurant, split by a permanent wall. Service definitely favored the bar scene, on a Saturday afternoon we waited a bit longer than I wouldve liked with 2 kids. But the food was great, kids portions were huge for $5. I had the Big Lebowski minus tomatoes and onions, wonderfully cooked and not terribly messy despite the size. Wife made her own and she loved it as well. Burgers are cooked to your liking and plenty of drink options along the way. Definitely will be back again.

The food was ok, and I felt like it was freshly made, but I will not be returning. They had the door to the restaurant blocked and you were forced to walk through a smokey bar to get to and from the restaurant. I dont even know if it is legal a to send children through a smoke filled to get to a restaurant. There was a family of three seated and all the other tables were empty. Half of them had not been cleared from earlier diners. We were seated about five minutes before anyone came out of the back to wait on us. Had to ask twice for sweetener for the tea. Overall service was very slow.

This place came highly recommended, but I was disappointed. I will say that the service was great. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our food was... Meh. We all had sandwiches. They were... Fine. Not bad at all, but nothing to get excited over. I had fries, and I tried the chips. My fries were so limp, it was like theyd been sitting there since lunch. And they didnt taste good either. The chips were crunchy, but they didnt have a lot of flavor. My advice? Try something else.

TERRIBLE Catering Service! Decided to give them a try as they sought us out. We ordered 14 box lunches, they only delivered 12! They were missing 3 sides, the pop and waters were all warm, the box lunches did not have the individuals names on them as indicated to be. What a disaster! And dont bother calling the restaurant, they will not answer. P*S*A : Driver/delivery guy WILL fabricate lies to owner, owner is not apologetic for such fabrication. Some food was edible.

We have been there 3 times and the food is terrific. The fish and chips is amazing. Its the best fish and chips Ive had in the states. Their burgers are also incredible. The only problem with this place is the service is really slow. I had to remind our server about our salads after waiting 20 minutes for them. Then in 15 minutes they showed up. Overall took us an hour and a half to get in and out. So if you have the time Id definately reccomend this place.

Ordered the chicken alfredo meal which was supposed to come with soup/bread. Bread was missing from my order, and I wish it was the soup that was missing, as I threw it away after a couple bites. Chicken Alfredo wasnt the worst thing Ive had, but at $13, youd expect a fantastic dish. This was not worth the $13 in the slightest. Im not sure if this was a one-off situation, but I will not be returning to this restaurant.

This review is for the bar/burger side only and not the restaurant. The burgers are absolutely delicious. I have tried a couple different ones and I loved them all so far. The fries are fresh cut, homemade and delicious. Fried pickles and onion rings are great also. The service is a bit slow at times but they are super friendly. The prices are very good for what you get. Will definitely be returning here.
