One of our best experiences at a restaurant while visiting Houston. We have been in Houston for over two weeks and this place takes care of you. Is the food amazing? no not amazing but solid. The food is really good though and so our the sides. All of the staff treated us like we where their favorite customer. One reason we loved the location was being able to chose the type of brisket you can get. they ask if you want marbled or lean, bark or no bark. This is amazing how much they care about the customer. Being able to choose the piece of meat and from what part was amazing. I have not had better brisket. They have delicious yeast rolls that are made in house. you can take your kids to the counter and watch them make them. The atmosphere is a older country BBQ feel. Every time we come to Houston we will come to this place. We had such a great experience, loved the food, and size portions they give you.

Spring Creek isnt what it used to be! We ordered the chopped beef with extra fat for our 85 year old mother (easy to eat). We have been buying it for Mom since they opened. This time we paid $16 plus tax for a pint cup of small amount of scrap, dry meat filled with BBQ sauce! And a side of BBQ sauce. Was the most expensive meal my mother could not eat! We always ordered chopped beef and got chopped beef. When I called the manager informed me it was my fault for not asking for just chopped beef with no sauce, silly me I thought ordering chopped beef meant you got chopped beef, it always has before. First time this has happened and apparently they have gotten so big they no longer care what happens once they get your money. We loved this place, mainly for the people and atitude- priorities change. VERY SAD.

Ive eaten here after passing this location numerous time and have to say wow. I should have stopped in earlier. In fact I only stop here due to heavy rains on the HWY. The inside areas are clean, is a friendly environment, and the staff seems very good. I had the trimmed brisket and pepper sausage. The brisket was trimmed nice, simple, great smoke ring and flavor. The beef sausage was okay but a little above average. I like more flavor in a sausage but it was not bad. The homemade bread was fresh out the over. A young lady walked around offering bread it was extremely good.

Pretty obvious people giving good ratings for this BBQ don't know good BBQ. First of all I don't appreciate having my food tossed at me at the serving line. Secondly I don't appreciate the condescending attitude by servers when I question the menu. They were more interested in singing silly rhymes than focusing on customer query. Finally, the food is just plain lousy. No flavor and dry including the side dishes. Go figure? How do you mess up corn on the cob? Stay away from this place...far away! Bread girls were nice though...especially Roxanne :)

We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon and were not very impressed at all. I ordered a rib plate and my wife, a chopped beef BBQ sandwich. The ribs were, small, dry, and not very meaty. The chopped beef sandwich she ordered, looked like it came out of a can. They didnt cut off a piece of brisket and chop it up. Instead they dipped a serving scoop into a tub of BBQ "meat" and put it on the bread. The oly redeeming part of the meal, were the fresh rolls. If youre craving BBQ, Id suggest trying a different place.

So I should have listened to the reviews and avoided this place, the food servers were rude, then we go to eat and I open my napkin to get my spoon and theres what looks to be beef brisket and some other crap on my spoon, I took it to show an employee and he gave me plastic utensils which I should have got from the beginning....the food was bad, Ive been to plenty of bbqs and this doesnt cut it, and they also got our order wrong and gave us pork ribs instead of beef ribs and we dont eat pork...first and last visit

Went tonight and after 15 minutes eating went for more beans...they had close the buffet, no warning whatsoever (it seems it was 9pm, but without warning they just cleaned all out!!)...asked nicely 2 waiters for more beans (they were plenty of it) they simply say: "sorry, no more beans!!". Are you kidding me? After an overpriced plate of $15 you are not able to serve me more beans???!!!!!! It was one of my favorite BBQ places, NOT ANYMORE!!!

Great barbecue prepared in front of you cafeteria style. You can be specific about the cut of meat you like, they are accommodating and knowledgeable. The sides are fantastic and the portions are generous. I always have to get their fried okra. And theres a server always walking around table to table offering fresh rolls. Take her up on it! And save room for fresh cobbler and Blue Bell! This place is Texas!

Not sure why the first person had a bad experience but I know young people work there and they sometimes are percieved as rude. Anyway, I like the food and the service is good. I always get takeout so i cant say how the dine in is. They are very fast and the food seems fresh. Last thing, the rolld are to die for!

Ive had nothing but great food at Spring Creek. Ive found the staff to be friendly, often times making up little rhymes about what you order as they are preparing it. My personal favorite is the combination plate with pepper sausage and turkey, though the other meat choices are also very good.

Pretty good place. My whole family likes it. We actually had them cater to my country wedding and the food was actually better through the catering service. But the service is not exactly the best sometimes. I think its because they employ a lot of high school age kids (probably their first job).

Great ribs, but they have let the place get very dirty. Floor is greasy customers were slipping when they walked. Someone dropped some trash on the floor and I watched about 3 employees walk over it and never stopped to pick it up. Finally a customer stopped and picked it up!

Food was great! Ice cream was also! Good prices for what you get. The only thing I would suggest is for them to tell you a little bit more about the menu and stuff when you havent ever been there. But it was a great meal and if ever back this way will definitely come back!

For a chain restaurant, they serve some of the best barbecue around. Better than many of the "celebrated" joints in this part of the state. I judge primarily based on brisket, but ribs and chicken are good too. All-you-can-eat sides are great.

My favorite BBQ, specifically I recommend the blend (marbled & lean) brisket plate with green beans (really good), corn on the cob and sweet tea. Fresh rolls served if needed throughout your meal. Blue Bell ice cream on Sundays.
