I had lunch today at Cibo. It was my first visit. My initial impression upon walking in was a very cool vibe that was instantly relaxing, somewhere I would go on a Saturday night to have a few drinks and some appetizers. Once we were finally seated, which took about 5 minutes, not due to a crowd, but due to our not being acknowledged at the front, I checked out the menu. The food all sounded very original and delicious but the prices were a little high. Once we ordered it took forever for our food to get there. My managers sandwich was luke warm at best and my sandwich was on the soggy side, probably from sitting on the line but not being brought out to us. The server wasnt exactly enthusiastic when interacting with us. My sandwich was pretty flavorless which was surprising because the ingredients all sounded quite flavorful. Overall, if the service improved I would consider going back but ordering something else. At this point it isnt high on my list of places to return.

Must dine at Cibos if in CR area: WOW Excellent Experience at a Celebration Party here! Rachael, Manager, and Nathan, Chef, made all details perfect and Overly-Impressed the 30+ of us. We lived in Chicago suburbs years ago and know gourmet food. Cibos offers gourmet food but does not have those high prices. We enjoyed Excellent Food, Service and Treatment! Veggie and Fruit trays were full, soft tacos, spring rolls & various pizzas for appetizers were excellent; ham or hamburger sliders were delicious, chicken tenders meaty/moist and mini dessert chocolate cup mousses or tiramisu were great. Fresh strawberry with sour cream and strawberry was WOW and Healthy! Servers Crystal and Deb were attentive and caring! There is also a salt water acquarium with colorful fish and a water wall. This is our #1 TOP List restaurant to eat at in CR/Marion area. We feel we are at a sophisticated gourmet dining establishment. Their filets are the best in the CR area.

I went to Cibo today for the first time. The atmosphere is very nice, with a bar in the center that greets you as you walk in the door. Unfortunately, the service here is not that great. We waited a while to be seated, and neither the staff at the bar or the waitress who saw us come in felt the need to seat us when we first walked in. The food was ok, nothing great but also nothing bad. I had the traditional burger with fries. The patty on the burger had no seasoning, and while it had ample veggies the bland burger could not support the toppings that were on it. My sister had the teriyaki chicken wrap, and she did say that it was delicious. Overall, I would not put this down as a recommended lunch spot. It was a bit pricy for lunch. Also, with the slow service and subpar food this place is not somewhere that I would be excited about eating at again.

Met with the owner Tony last fall to discuss catering... Traveled from Minneapolis on a Saturday morning to meet and try the food... Called Tony on the way down, oops, he wasnt going to be there for another 4 hours. OK, no big deal. Finally met, loved everything we ate and discussed. Made plans to email him an approximate guest list and hed work up a quote for us within 2 weeks. Sent him the guest list the next day and waited for the quote. Gave 3 weeks and sent a follow up email. Gave 2 more weeks and followed up with a voicemail and another email. Still havent received quote. Wedding planning is hard enough without working with unreliable people... Give Dien at the Marion Hy-Vee a call. Hell set you up right.

Went here with a friend. Service was average, at best. Atmosphere was very nice, unique in an upscale kind of way. We waited a long time to get our orders in. This is not the type of place to order a burger at. If you want one go to mcdonalds or to any bar & grill. This is the place to try something new or creative. I did just that and was underwhelmed. Where the chef wowed in presentation, he underwhelmed in taste. Left much to be desired and a fat bill at my table. If this restaurant priced dishes for their taste rather than style, their prices would be comparable to Chinese take out. Describing this place as "Worth a try" is a stretch. Youre better off at your go-to restaurant than here.

Been here multiple times love the bison burger and they have the best tiramisu in town. Thus, it is a hit or miss with customer service, but most of the times when I have gone the server has been attentive and friendly. However, just this last time I one had been very quiet and not so friendly but she kept our glasses full so I call that a positive and thought perhaps she was having a bad day so I have her a $20 tip on card and $2 in cash as Ive been in her shoes before and it appeared as though it was a slow day.

Went for Sunday Brunch there since we have passed the place many times and commented that we would try the place sometime. After our experience I dont think we will ever go back again. I should always worry when a place is slow, it always means some sort of problem. Service was okay but the food was cold on the buffet for the most part and you had to special order eggs or french toast. For a meal of two and a child it cost us over $45. Forget it, I have been to much better and less expensive places.

Once I entered this restaurant I was taken by dim lighting and the atmosphere. They have a lounge area design for comfort and conversing while having drinks. I again took my place at the bar and the service was immediate & excellent. The food options are limited but interesting nevertheless. The prices are a bit higher than your average restaurant but not by much. It’s a great place to impress the Lady on a first date, or any other dates for that matter. I would highly recommend it.

Had a team lunch here for work. It was the first time I had been to Cibo. I was quite impressed with the food and service. We were setting in a back room so I am not sure about the ambiance of the rest of the restaurant. It did look nice and I always enjoy fish tanks. The food was very good though a little more expensive than other options in town. All in all the experience was very enjoyable. Now that I have been once I will likely find opportunities to go again.

The ambiance of Cibo is really nice, beautiful fish tank and water walls to add a peaceful soothing sound. The menu has great options for vegetarians as well. The chef was accommodating with our order, recreating their herbed fries thats off the menu now. I always enjoy the cocktails here after a long day of work, the bartender is spot on with his drinks and recommendations. Also, they have a fantastic, healthier than most, Sunday Brunch!

Went for a lunch today with 9 coworkers. Got there at 11:30 and not many customers there. Had terrible service by the waitress. One coworker they forgot to make her food. Brought the dessert before the meal. After a 90 minute lunch we were finally able to leave.I will not be coming back anytime soon. Update: I spoke prematurely. We are still waiting for our debit cards. Now 100 minute lunch for not a busy restaurant.
