Best breakfast in the metro, hands down. Ive never had a better breakfast. Service is great, the chef is even better. Dont go for breakfast often, but when i do this is where i will go everytime. We have kids and they are super with food and options for picky eaters. When i have family or friends in town this is the place. Just go, you wont be disappointed. Oh! And get the rarebit cheese sauce too.

What a gem! We avoid franchise restaurants whenever possible and we stumbled on to this cute little cafe. The food was delicious and the owner/chef came out to personally make sure we were happy with our food. (We were!) If you find yourself hungry for a home cooked breakfast or lunch in Johnston Iowa...eat here. You wont be disappointed!

This place is one of those gems you find in the metro area of Des Moines. The food is amazing! The wait time is usually a little longer than you would expect but its because they make the food hot and fresh. Theyre also usually pretty busy. I cant recommend this the Brick House Cafe enough! Keep up the good work ladies!

What a great home in the wall. Service was friendly and the food was fantastic. Greattach place to grabe a bite with friends. The breakfast mac n cheese was fantastic. Pancakes are huge, fluffy, and delicious!!

Was excited to try this place after the good reviews. Was disappointed that it took almost 45 minutes to get food and service was not that great either. Hoping they were just short staffed and this isnt the norm.
