Worked here last year. It sucked then (ex: left pizza out on buffet for over an hour when it should only be for 20 min) it sucks now. Ordered a half Prarie half Tuscan online and somehow the receipt came out as those pizzas and said I wanted literally none of the specialty toppings. Any person with sense would of noticed that wasnt right. When I came in to get it no counter person showed up for at least 5 minutes, a girl went and got the pizza, handed it to me, then walked away. I paid online so I started to walk out when she called after me asking if I paid? Whyd you hand it to me and walk away? Realized it was wrong once I got outside, didnt want to waste the time correcting them since they had one customer but seemed too busy to help me.

We are fans of Pizza Ranch and have eaten at several locations. Normally the quality is equal and excellent wherever. We have enjoyed "Pizza and a movie" at the Sycamore location several times, but the last 2 times things werent quite up to par. The biggest turnoff is when the chicken is empty. This has happened twice now with wait times up to 10 minutes. It almost seems like they are trying to get customers to eat something else besides chicken. Then when the chicken does arrive it doesnt seem quite up to the standards we expect. Seems a little oilier than other places, just not quite the same. On a positive note, the Sycamore location now has soft serve ice cream.

You cant rely on this place to even have the food they advertise. I was in an hour and twenty minutes before closing on a Sunday and they had already taken down the salad bar, the chicken looked so old Id never chance eating it, and the leftover pizza had been sitting out who knows how long.. The place also looked dirty to me and may not be a safe place to eat. Seems to be run by teenagers who dont seem to care one way or the other. They really should rename it something like the Hog Ranch.

Place was filthy, food was well past due for removal from Buffett. The chicken appeared to have been sitting all day in the same pan on the steam table. Kids running around (no fault of resturant) spilling/dripping ice cream around the resturant. Manager walking by food and debris on floor apparently ignoring it. Didnt notice anyone checking Temps at any of the hot food locations. Disgusting is the word that comes to mind.

My family and I happened to be in the Sycamore Mall area this past weekend and decided to try Pizza Ranch. Although the restaurant was experiencing a lunchtime rush, the buffet was well-stocked with hot pizza and chicken. We also put in a special order for Sweet Swine, and the first slice was delivered to my table before being placed on the buffet. Now thats great service!! I will definitely be returning soon!

This is my 3rd visit. If you order a pizza, it is great! However, if you come for the buffet, the pizza is cold and old. Chicken was empty along with salad bar. Staff seems nice and friendly, just not very organized. Will save my future trips to pizza ranch to the Mason City, Iowa location. Iowa City location isnt worth the trip.

Chicken is the bomb! The pizza and the rest of the fare is decent but not great. The desert pizza is above average and the ice cream is awesome! The service was great! Seems a bit pricey for Sunday brunch but your drink is included. Overall, not bad but will not likely return as I feel there are better choices out there.

Just got to town for vacation, and I always look forward to a Taco Pizza. Tried to place an order for delivery. When I gave them an address right off Scott Blvd, The Sycamore Mall location told me that I was outside their delivery area. What a joke. Good luck with them. They must have a 2 block delivery radius.

Was there last week with my son. You need to be very hungry to come here and pay between 9 or 11 depending lunch-dinner. I think this is the perfect place to indulge yourself with large amounts of fatty food and get obese. Although they have the salad bar, but doesnt entice me. I will try to return next year.

While the person in the phone was nice. My last order was 4 0 MINUTES LATE!!!!! That is never okay. With all my years of kitchen work, that tells me they forgot to even make the order. Shame on them. It will be awhile before I try that again. Chicken was doggie and not good folks. Consistently is key!

Me and my fiance really like the buffet at pizza ranch and went to college next to one all 4 years. This location in Iowa city had maybe the equivalent of two and a half pizzas out at a time our entire visit. It was pathetic. Not worth the money Id that is how this location operates all the time.

Horrible experience. They did not have hardly any food on the buffet. We waited over 20 mintues for them to bring out more food and when they did it was not enough to go around. Never did bring dessert pizza out. paid 72.00 for family of 6 and left after half hour hungry. Never again.

Had a salad for lunch and saw 10 children under age of 12 at buffet bars by themselves and at ice cream machine pushing buttons and machine was down with no out of order sign on it and one employee cleaning tables and three employees standing around doing nothing

Went to the buffet and it was incredible. Affordable for the family, food was amazing, the dessert pizza was to die for. Managment team was friendly and service was great. The Iowa City Pizza Ranch will be one of my weekly eating destinations for sure!!

I visit pizza ranch frequently. Everytime i go there, I have a lovely experience. The employees, the food, and the atmosphere allow for a fantastic meal that keeps me coming back for more. at least twice a week.

This Pizza Ranch is on par with the other Pizza Ranches Ive ate at. Buffet is always well stocked and its conveniently attached to the mall. Worth eating at if youre desiring broasted chicken and pizza.

Always loved coming here for their pizza cuz you can ask them to make a certain kind for you, and they have soft serve icecream (tip: I put the crêpes in my icecream for a cool concoction :)

Was not impressed. Only had chicken thighs and breast. Salad was empty. I asked to have it refilled. They did, but it was mostly brown in color. The workers were all very pleasant.

Pizza Ranch not only had the best pizza i have ever tasted but they have amazing chicken and a wonderful salad bar, and to top it all off the staff were very nice.

Save your money and go to the one in north liberty. Everything is dry, chicken tasted like rubber and it was all empty. Hated it.
