I would give this place no stars if I could. My sister and her husband ate here and their waiter said something which my sister thought was "what would you like to drink" so she said Mountain Dew. Apparently that was not what the man said and he acted outwardly offended. My sister ordered some nachos and they took the chimichanga shell of some other persons food that they had not eaten and made it into chips for my sister. She woke up this morning feeling very sick. Eventually she was screaming because she was in so much pain so she went to the hospital and it turns out she has severe food poisoning. The waiter that they had thought everything he was doing to her was so funny but my sister is not mean spirited and would never try to offend anyone. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. I just wonder how many other people have had to deal with this.

I received food poisoning at Fiesta Cancun. I had eaten many times previous to that and loved it. This particular time, the food wasnt as warm and I started to feel sick as I was eating it. I never finished and within an hour of getting home, I was vomiting violently. I went in two days later (after I had the strength to get out of the house) to inform them of this and was seeking a refund or at the very least an apology. Nope...all I got was "Show me your hospital bill." He was rude and could care less that I was sick. True I had no proof, but never in a million years would I expect a manager of a restaurant treat someone like that. I mean...not even an apology or "sorry for the poor experience..." Ridiculous!!!

Simple and satisfying. Food generally had a good flavour. I would have been a lot happier if they left the door closed and the flies outside (ICK!!), but the phenomenal frozen margaritas (I normally drink them on the rocks, but these radioactive-green concoctions ROCK all by themselves) will quickly dull your annoyance. Service was average and would have gotten more than one star if they werent doing in-depth cleaning (as in "please get out so we can close") at 8:15. Price was low. Sides were great. Entrees were wildly varied from wonderful, overflowing fajitas to lackluster, tiny chimichangas. Salsa (oddly enough) was terrible - bland, watery and flavourless. Overall a solid if uninspiring choice.

WARNING: Please read my detailed review of All 5-6 Mexican Cuisine Restaurants in Dubuque, IA. They are all horrible. I give all of them one start and will give Fiesta Cancun 2 stars only because the rice was somewhat moist and the most edible of the other Mexican rests in Dubuque. Still, their tacos and burritos were just like their competitors, bland, boring, utility grade rat meat. Save your money and eat Taco Bell if you must have mexican food....or just wait until you leave Dubuque, IA because these mexican restaurants are just pathetic. When youre in Tampa, FL visit Miguels and you will have a religious Mexican Cuisine experience. Serious! Even if you dont like Mexican cuisine!

Weve been looking for a decent traditional Mexican restaurant in the area for years and glad to say this is the first. Being a native Chicagoan I am spoiled with some of the best that the city has to offer. The family has been coming to the tri-states for over 3 decades. With Los Aztecas on route 20 in Dubuque and Galena neither provide anything in taste, preparation or quality for the price. Fiesta Cancun has good food for reasonable cost. In fact the 32oz lime margarita for $10 is a steal. We plan to revisit soon.

The Marguerites were great. However, the server messes up both meals and bill. Wasnt really a big deal on either though. Only major disappointment was our food came in about 3 min after ordering, and i had a chicken enchilada which was barely warm. The chicken tasted like it had been microwaved from a can from Sams club up the road. Same stuff i buy actually. Not what i want from a restaurant.

Classic Mexican Restaurant. Good food, helpful folks working there. Oddly enough, (as one person mentioned) the door is a bit hidden from normal view so I can understand how a customer could be briefly overlooked. Likely room for improvement there. If you like a custard treat, try the Flan. I really liked it; then again I have quite a sweet tooth! Ill go back.

I enjoy the food here immensely and their margaritas are very tasty as well. Service was on the slow side though. It took them nearly 15 minutes to come over and greet us and take our drink orders. It took another 10 minutes to receive our drinks. But they are friendly and are willing to accommodate to your needs, despite being less than attentive.

We have lots of good Mexican restaurants. This one is my favorite. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Menu has lots of good choice. My favorite is the Fajitas Rancheros. Who would have thought of bacon, and shrimp along with the beef and chicken. What can I say but bacon...

Food was pretty good, not quite the best Ive ever had. The decor is pretty corny, but definitely not a deal breaker like some other reviews have made it sound. Our waiter was very quiet and was a little too attentive but other than that it was a good night.

One of few decent spots in Dubuque. No, its probably not 100% authentic, but its full of flavor. Very well-priced. Never had a serious problem with service. Great margaritas that are half-price most nights. We go often.

Very similar to Los Aztecas, so if you like that youll like this place. This is Americanized Mexican that tastes ok but not great. There are a few other Mexican restaurants in Dubuque that Id choose over this.

I have probably been to over 100 mexican places in my life but this one has the best service and the food is so full of flavor. They bring your beer in a very cold frosty mug. Highly reccomended.

The quesadilla rellena was great, and the service was quick! I just wish Id known there would be peppers and tomato, since I thought I was just getting chicken and cheese.

The food was cold and took FOREVER. Our server was nowhere to be found and our food was incorrectly made. The one in Platteville is much better.

Cant beat the prices anywhere in Dubuque. Staff is friendly and serving sizes are big. Service is almost always excellent

Seemed under-staffed, maybe it was just busier than usual. The food was good, not a big fan of too much else though.
