The wife and I dropped on in this place about 10 minutes after 9 on a fine Thursday morning. Did not see a sign indicating whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Hostess finally showed up with menus when we took it upon ourselves to sit down. No straws for our drinks, they would arrive with the "manager" (lol manager) who probably should have ordered some. I was told it might take over 20 minutes to get a small stack of pancakes. Enstranged waitress scurries back to the kitchen to ask about them, someone blurts out "THERE IS NO PANCAKE BATTER!!" The manager apparently arrived, and everyone but us got straws. We got up and left, and went across the street to Family Dollar, where I bought a pancake mix and a bottle of syrup, and made my own stack before the 20 minute mark arrived. Please.

I went in With my daughter and grandson on a Friday afternoon. The waitress , I wont say her name, seemed friendly and polite at first. But a little later it got weird and uncomfortable. I dont know if she was trying to be funny or what. But she called my daughter "Miss Piggy" and then made a comment about me "scarfing down" my fries. Then she started in on my 7 yr. old grandson abt how she was going to steal his food and make him "puke up" what he already ate. He of course told her she was weird. We didnt correct him since he was telling the truth. I spoke to the manager at her behavior. He immediately knew who I was talking about. Other than that, food was good.

I have not been at this location in a long time now. So it was nice to go back there again. This time it was awesome because I got to take my mom and my better half with me. And the food was good and fresh just the way that I like it. And it was free pie Wednesday. So that right there sat the moment right and took the cake. So I will continue going back there always. But not just for free pie Wednesday though lol.

Dirty. My table wasnt cleaned , there was still crusty food on it. Saw a person drop a stack of knives on the floor and proceeded to put them back into his utensil bin, and continued wrapping..... Had plain view of kitchen area, heard foul language and not so clean atmosphere. We had no problems with our waitress. She was good.

Horrible experience tonight . My boyfriends waffles came out cold after waiting 15 min for fresh ones we decided to just leave . Watched the night manager go to every other table asking how the food was , and walked right past our table . The waitress was very nice. Overall horrible service from the manager , and food was cold .

Waited 45 minutes for order. Manager came and informed us "the computer screwed up and didnt get order to kitchen, after an hour we got our food. The waitress wasnt big enough to apologize, and avoided our table after that. The manager was talking on the phone and didnt apologize when we checked out. Im done with Village Inn

We went to this location in Council Bluffs ,IA and it sucked my boyfriend and I ordered the all you can eat fish it was really small pieces and when we reordered doe more it took almost an hour to get it and when they brought it out it was even smaller than the first ones.......I left there hung there hungry and pissed off

I went there April 3rd for dinner with girlfriend, I got the music omlete and she got VIB with crepes. It was awful and tasted weird we both stop eating and told cashier it was bad food. they took off $5 and we left. We both started getting symptoms of food poisonening, I lost 3 days work. I will not go there again.

breakfast experience was not good this time we ordered coffee with our meal to the coffee was cold she brought us the last of the cold hot to replace the cold coffee and then she brewed another pot of coffee which was hot but still had the grounds floating in it breakfast food was okay

Usually love Village Inn. If you are going to go, go to the one across town by The Mall of the Bluffs as it is much better. Went to this location and the coffee tasted burnt. The food is sub par. I dont understand how two locations could differ so much.

Very good food. And the work are all very kind I bumped into a worker as I was trying to head to the bathroom I believe his name was james. He said that its fine just have your shelf a nice day. That would have been me ya nope.

Ya know, it is what it is. The wait staff is always friendly and I would give them 5 stars. I feel its fairly clean. The food is average and I think an ok price. The coffee is never hot though and that makes me sad.

It was an early dinner so not to busy. The service was great and the food was decent. They did forget to put bacon on my burger but the waitress caught it when she brought it to the table and fixed it asap.

The experience here was not the best. Had to wait 15 minutes just to get waited on couldnt order the drink I wanted cause of lack of responsibility. Not being fully prepared and not seeming to care.

Went there 3 weeks ago, everyone in my group got food poisoning. We were miserable. Service was ok, food even seemed alright, not great but not horrible. But we all ended up sick off it.
