Too bad I cant give you NO STARS! OMG!! I hope I dont get sick after my experience at this awful "restaurant". I will NEVER go here again. Absolutely disgusting filth everywhere. Food all over the floor. The buffet line had ingredient bins all spilled over into each other. Utensils handled by EVERYONE. The grill being "cleaned" off with the slop from the water spewed onto the food. This has to be a petri dish full of bacteria. Absolutely disgusting place to eat. And after you wait like 20 minutes in line. Then to have to listen to that awful clink clank clink clank of those tools on the grill. And the sweaty clink clank people. They must hate their jobs. Tables so close together. This place is awful.. The only nice thing I can say is that our waitress was very nice and attentive. She needs to find a better job. This place sucks!

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. It is so much fun to watch the grill prepare your food. Great selection of items on the buffet line. We went within an hour of opening and there was a lot of cross contamination with the items though. Southwest corn was next to the pineapple so there was a lot of corn and peppers in the pineapple :( waitress was really nice. Things were great until I had to use the bathroom. You could definitely tell they had been mopped recently. There was a horrid smell of straight bleach and standing water still on the floor. I told the hostess as the manager was standing there and he didnt act concerned at all as she rushed to get in there since there was no wet floor sign present. Would have been better if not for the bleach, it made my stomach flip and gave me a headache. Couldnt eat anymore. :(

Its what it is. Make your own bowl, watch them cook it, eat it and repeat. I have found the last few times Ive been that the food bar is less than cleanly (though in all fairness Ive watched people go through and just slosh food everywhere!) and its a mixed bag with the sauce bar (literally but again Ive also seen a kid ladle oil into another sauce so...) Its also a bit on the higher end of pricing for what you get (for me, my stomach tops out at 2 plates). Expect to pay about $12 for lunch (food and drink) and $20 for dinner (per person too!) I will say this though, where food is meh, the service at the Coralville branch has always been pretty damn good. Nice servers, the cooks are usually attentive and friendly.

We came in at 8:57pm with a closing time of 9pm. They offered a choice of a take out Bowl or sitting down to eat. They could have said sorry were closed but the host was very nice and friendly. We got our food picked out with lots of fresh vegetables to choose from and more meats than I would have thought they offered. We had a super cool and attentive waiter who refilled our drinks promptly even though he was busy with his closing duties. Soo much food we took some home! This was my first visit to a HuHot restaurant and I will definitely visit again!

If you want to leave with your bowels in tact, dont go here. From the view of the grill, you can tell that it hasnt been cleaned in months, if ever, which makes you wonder how the back of the house looks as well. The food is handled in some how the worst way possible, with no care of food allergies, or if anyone has any strict restrictions on their diet. Pretty much, if you want disgusting, fattening food, from a dirty restaurant that makes you feel like Genghis Khan himself is ripping your back end from your body, I suggest going here.

Ive had better Mongolian in other parts of the country but this one is Ok. Good selection (although some of the items didnt appear to be fresh), good service and fair prices. Clean atmosphere and attentive staff is nice. I am not a big fan of the sauces being so thick as I like more flavored watery juices/sauces which I believe steams into the food better but thats just a personal preference. Im sure once you find a flavor that works for you, you would be happy. I most likely wont return anytime soon.

We were at the Huhot today, bad service, plus there is not much choices, I have been to few Mongolian Restaurants, but at Huhot its waste of money...took them 10 minutes to get the check, not many choices and also not very organized,..most of the mongolian restaurants offer fried rice/tortilla/boiled rice..here they just bring you boiled rice..no shrimps and few other choices....I wont recommend anyone to go there --just a waste of money

Maybe the hardest working staff Ive seen in a long time. Grill guys were hoping the entire time. The gentleman that waited on my table never let my soda get empty and was the perfect amount of attentive! The food was fantastic! I made my first boal extra hot... and it had a KICK! My second was incredible as well. If you have food allergies I would avoid this place. Food is mixed due to this type of place.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time! The service is always great, and you get to customize what you want. Im not usually a fan of any kind of buffet (the concept just grosses me out), but this concept is somehow more palatable for me. I love mixing my sauce combinations up every once in a while, and the best part is watching the people at the grill cook your food right in front of you.

The cook didnt cook the broccoli long enough as it was hard and crunchy along with their other veggies. If you wanted it cooked correctly you had to ask for it to be cooked longer. The chicken and pork is dry. There is only one sauce that was decent. The restaurant chain as a whole is not very good. Just go to a sit down Chinese restaurant. Prices are cheaper and the food is actually cooked.

This is a fun place to go. Kids eat free on Tuesdays. They have an assortment of noodles, meats, veggies, and sauces. Fill your bowl, then take it to the cooking stone to be cooked while you wait. Go to your table to eat. Rinse. Repeat. It can get busy on the weekends and dinner time. Highchairs available and kids tend to think its a fun time.

With lunch prices around $10 this create-your-own masterpiece and then watch it be cooked restaurant provides a very interesting concept. Service was quick and food was decent. It seems as though it may take a while to find a combination of the required sauces to find your niche here. Good for a quick lunch!

Ive been here a few times, sometimes its packed and other times no one there. Food was fresh, staff was friendly. Their sauces are runnier than similar restaurants and not as flavorful so its not my top pick but its close by and everyone can make what they like so it satisfies the whole family.

I love HuHot, I never have a bad experience here. The quality of the food on the bar has always been of higher quality. They keep the place, the bar, and the grill area very clean. The staff has always been friendly and prompt, I usually drink tea, and have never had an empty cup. Well done!
