The waiters/waitresses at this location always appear to be in a hurry and lack customer service. I have gone multiple occasions and have received decent service but not up to par. The last two times I have been to Old Chicago Ive been rushed out. I had a rushed meal as the waiter kept pestering me to pay, provided me a to go cup and box, he even made it perfectly clear I was his last table and he gets to go once I leave. My most recent experience was the waitress came up to the table and was waiting for payment that I hadnt gotten ready yet. I apologized and said I wasnt ready to pay yet, and her response was "well, sorry Im not trying to rush you out or anything." The food is generally good, however, due to the service I continue to receive, I dont think Ill be going back.

This place is a chain that is famous for 110 beers, many on tap, and the World Beer Tour. The bar area is great with a dark Irish Pub feel. Many big screen TVs and a fun atmospshere. The food is great and there is a nice variety as well. There is a separate dining area if you prefer that over the bar scene. They can get busy on game days but do a good job with service if you give them a chance. Join the Beer Tour and get in on the fun and prizes!

We ended up leaving. Were told wait was 45 minutes. There was a lot of open tables and booths. There were 2 couple ahead of us. After waiting 20 minutes, a waiter said tables were open because the kitchen was running slow... Who wants to wait 45 minutes to be seated, and then wait for a slow kitchen. We ended up ordering Hickory Park to go and got it by the time we would have been seated at Old Chicago.

Was there for the lunch buffet today the lunch buffet was ok kind of small it came with a choice of soup or salad when waiter forgot to bring me my soup before I went to the buffet I went through the buffet 3 times before he brings me out my soup by that time I was ready to go so he took the pop off of my bill poor service.

The service was horrible (sat for over 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us). My alcoholic drink tasted like water with ice. No apology or remorse from our waitress. Also no management intervention. Needless to say we will NOT be going back even though we live just down the road. Horrible!

We got this chick stephanie as our waitress. The food was great, then the pizza came. They gave us a "wrong order" and she apologised profusely, knocked a few bucks off the price and threw in a free pizza. The pizza was great btw. The best part was the customer service. Would definitely go back.

First visited Old Chicago in Boulder CO in the 1980s. Hadnt been back in years but decided to try the one in Ames tonight. It was awesome. I had the Chicago Fire calzone and Mrs. Sharpe had a burger. Both were very good. Our waitress, Abbie, was just the best. Wonderful experience.

We were seated promptly, everyone was friendly. Our server, Jean, was awesome. She suggested the Spaghetti Pie and Im glad she did, it was very good even though I couldnt eat it all. I will be dinning there again and hope our next waitress is as courteous Jean was.

I waited for fifteen minutes with no service, then a young couple got sat right next to us and got service right away. With overhearing a waiter waitress arguing over who gets what table. My fiancé and I got up and walked out.

Deep Chicago 7 pizza with Provolone/no black olives in personal size the best pizza ever. Nice staff. Guy sang HB to my daughter- and he had a great voice. They have a good thing going.

Love the servers, food and drinks. The Kickin Canadian Bacon is my favorite pizza! It has a creamy sauce with a little spice. And the Sicilian pepperoni rolls are the best appetizer ever!
