It is very obvious that Dublin Bays owners care about what goes on in their restaurant. We LOVE Dublin Bay. It is locally owned and the food is VERY much above average. They dont send out food that doesnt meet the owners high expectations. I recommend trying the Irish Nachos w/ Chicken. The food and drinks are a little pricey but they are worth every penny. The service is pretty excellent. There has only been one experience out of the MANY times we have eaten there that the service was not satisfactory. However, I contacted the owner and he was more than apologetic. He truly cares about what people think about his business which is very refreshing. We LOVE Dublin Bay and hope that whether you are visiting or a member of the community, you try out and invest in this locally owned favorite.

Great place for a meal! Try the Ancho Chili Tortellini for dinner, it is fantastic! For desert get the bread pudding, it is excellent as well. If bread pudding isnt your thing try the Baileys pie. My favorite dishes for lunch there are the Cydliner, the Spinach Artichoke Dip, Pub Pie, the burgers are awesome as is the chicken sandwiches. The Garlic Parm dressing is insanely good if you want a salad. Everything is handmade and it shows. Good food, good atmosphere, and the owner is usually around and he is an awesome guy... Donny is his name. Can you tell I have eaten here a lot? I love it! Too bad I live in TX now and cant enjoy it anymore :>(

The food has to be some of the best in Ames the wait staff is a bit slow but the food is well worth the wait and they are quite attractive as well they even flirt with you a little bit and thats okay I had to onion rings which I thought were a bit crispy and then a general Burger nothing fancy just a Fine Burger it was cooked perfectly I could not eat dessert since I was full of beer wait time was long longer than I cared for the girl I was with preferred to wait we will definitely come back again one thing I do wish was a little bit differently that it was not so dark Id like to be able see the eyes of my beautiful lady

Ive only been here a handful of times but I love it! Fantastic food choices, super friendly service, and a great atmosphere. There are a few "traditional" Irish items although I have no clue if they are authentic. The Guinness Beef Boxty is very tasty and I would also recommend the lamb burger. If you are looking for a new place to eat while visiting your college student (or if you are a college student looking for something new) give Dublin Bay a try.

Do you like black pepper? If so, this is the place to go! Everything is drowned in pepper and I feel like thats all Im eating. A rude waitress didnt even offer me anything else when I didnt touch my food because of how bad it tasted. How hard is it not to screw up potato soup and Shepards pie? Definitely wouldnt recommend. Over priced and overrated. If I could rate 0 I would.

Awesome experience at Dublin Bay! My parents and I went there for lunch and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great. Irish decor and music (which was at the perfect volume). Our waitress was awesome. She answered questions pretty well and was prompt but not too hurried with us. The food was really good. A little pricy, but well worth the money.

The food was good. The Ancho could have been a little more flavorful and spicy, but the service and atmosphere made up for it. There was a pretty good beer selection. I am very spoiled in that sense being from the northwest. With the music and atmosphere I felt at home. Much better food and atmosphere than some to the places around the area.

Absolutely everytime I go here I enjoy myself to no end! The servers are casual and fun, very easy to ask for recommendations which is never with such an extensive and quality menu. Every meal has been delectable, scrumptious, and decadent. The beers here are incredible to explore. Definitely an eatery worth going to in Ames. Definitely.

This used to be awesome but not anymore. I loved the traditional Irish fare but after 3 bad meals in a row I tried their other dishes. We explained our experience to the server and that meal was stellar! Next meal was awful again. One overcooked and dried out, one was raw and gooey. We are done.

Went here for the first time, and it was decent. Sort of hidden back and not easily noticed, but they have a really good selection of beers and ales. The food was pretty good. Its a little more on the expensive side, but I think it was well worth it. Definitely planning on going back.

I always love eating here. The food is great and the Baileys Pie is the perfect dessert! The wait staff is friendly and will help with recommendations if you have a hard time deciding what to eat. If youll be going in a group, remember to make a reservation as far ahead as possible!

My girlfriend visited Dublin, Ireland and toured the Guinness factory there, and she was very impressed with the atmosphere and food here. Theres a good pub side where you can watch sports, but the restaurant side is also good. Definitely would recommend for Irish and UK food.

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Ames. Tons of delicious Irish food (try the banger boxty--you wont regret it), a constantly changing selection of craft beer on tap, and an excellent atmosphere for both family and friends.
