I went with my girlfriend and some friends. I thought oh well this will be good. The japanese man that ended up being our chef was very rude in my opinion and obviously didnt know what he was doing. Started of lighting a fire on the grill and put way to much oil and I about fell out of my chair when the flame hit me In the face. Needless to say I was a lil irritated and upset. But I remained open to this new experience as I had never eaten at this type of restaurant. The chef start flicking what I think was cucumber at my friends. Then it came to me and I said no thank I dont want food flipped at me. Instead of moving on he thought it would be funny I guess to shoot a piece of vegetable at me anyways. It hit my glasses and I flipped out. I walked out before I did or said anything irrational. I went back in to sit with my friends and girlfriend after a lengthy cool down session outside. The chef just rolled his lil cart away with no apology. i got the check and my food to go. the check was outrageous for small portion of food I got plus my appetite had been ruined by the inexperienced rude chef. I threw my food in a trash can at a gas station as I exited terre haute. My main complaint is though, if you are going to play with fire be safe and dont risk burning your patrons. Oh and the check was 68 dollars.

Since they have moved to the new location they have SIGNIFICANTLY gone down hill. Have been to the new place twice and wont be going back for a while #1 - They have either changed the salad dressing or watered it down or they put too much on your salad. #2 - The new cooks and staff do not know what they are doing. The chef we had sprayed water in a 3 year olds eyes (it was part of their fun show, but come on, dont spray it on a little kids face). #3 - it was requested that the 3 year old share the chicken with its parents and they would not allow that. --- we had a party of 21 on a sunday night when they were not busy & would not let anouther child under 3 bring in food from somewhere else (which, this is a common rule in resturants, but this is a resturant where their chicken fingers are not the kind that young kids will eat)... the resturant just made over $500 on our party alone and you cant let a couple toddlers eat food from somewhere else. Other than that, staff was polite and fairly prompt given the size of our group. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because THIS USED TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE RESTURANTS IN TOWN!!! I really hate to leave a resturant that Ive loved for so long a bad review but I have just been so disappointed our last 2 visits.

My wife and I found this restaurant from browsing thru google search cus they have many good google and yelp reviews. We want warm soups, teppanyaki, and entertainment, the hibachi show. Thats all. The place was empty. We were the first customer there @ 11:20 ish... Seems new, nice and well organized restaurant, but the hostess did not turn the grill on when he sat us down. After 15 mins passed, chefs showed and realized that the grill was not on. Told us that we have to wait another 15 more mins for the grill gets hot. No Problem! We could wait, but the next table had been started then waitress suddenly came up and told us we have to wait more longer than they promised, because they only have TWO chefs and those two chefs gonna cook next table first. She wanted us to move over to that table, which we did not want to squeeze in.The other table was like business party and "FULL" already. ALSO we did not want to move Regular Booth table, which we were not here for. Tried to be patient but I did not want to stay there any longer, asked our check, paid what we eat and got out. (did not charged soups and good salads though). There was no manager came out to apologize to us, which was not "MUST" to do, i guess.. I just was not happy... We had to skip our lunch...

Phenomenal. This was amazing food hands down. The miso soup is incredible. It tastes just like the soup from my favorite restaurant that closed down in Oklahoma. Ive been trying miso everywhere without success until now. The sushi was fresh, and the tempura rolls were still warm. Speaking of tempura, the breading on it was very light and crisp, not oily at all. The Katsu Don was hot and held it heat for a while, it was the last thing I ate and I had to go slow. There was nothing I had tonight that I did not enjoy.

Nice and new location. The wife and I prefer this place for sushi over other locations in town. Sushi rolls are about 13.00 per roll. You can get the lunch special that comes with 3 rolls and miso soup and salad for 13.00 between 11 and 2 . The guy that makes the rolls has been there for several years now and pretty talented. We usually get the Terre Haute roll and the spicy lovers roll. Wasabi will clear your sinuses. I wonder if we went to Japan I could order the Terre Haute roll

Terrible first time experience. The hostess had no clue what she was doing a was rude to people walking in. All reservations were written down all over a notebook with no order. The wait time is extremely long. We made a reservation 2 days in advance and when we got there we had to wait 45 minutes. When we were seated we waited another 45-60 min for our cook to come over. They started cooking for a large party that was seated after our party. Definitely need some management.

The waitress was Amazing! She helped us pick out some great choices, and her choices got my husband to actually like the sushi! The food was great we loved the Shrimp tempura roll with Avacado and sauces the best. The miso soup was slightly different than most places, which she also explained to us was because instead of using a chicken base they use a different base for the soup. Definetly worth a try if you are in the area

Went there tonight for the first time and wont return. We explained to my waitress that this was our first time when have every been in a sushi place....I thought she would try to help us order but instead she seemed annoyed. Honestly the food was extremely over priced for what you get they only offer green salad which there dressing is terrible they should off more variety

Delicious food! I do not see many places that serve eel...but this food was divine. The taste was great and the presentation even better! Staff was so friendly and so helpful to my parents (who had a lot of questions about the menu). But the atmosphere was super lovely. The only thing is, they might want to invest in some blinds for that pesky sunset. :)
