GREAT PLACE to eat! I go to the Sunrise Cafe often and love their food. Best homemade soups in town, great on a chilly winter day before the meal gets to you. Nozzie (sp?) and his wife are really nice folks and treat you like foamily. The wait staff is friendly and fast, nice people work there in general. Food is tasty and hot and never a long wait between ordering and being served. The best place in Terre Haute for nice, sit down, family style food.

Onion rings tasted terrible, the ruben wasnt tasty either, there was a mess up in our order, the menu used pictures found on the internet and they werent even close to what they looked like, the drinks tasted like chemicals, and the inside was considerably dirty. Definitely would not come again.

We come hear weekly, esp Fridays, our "date night". The food is so delicious, service quick & friendly & portions are ample. Best homemade onion rings anywhere!! Tonight I had ribeye-it was perfect!! My husband had the seafood salad-huge & loaded w/ shrimp & crab. Yum!!!!

My step son went there and ate with his aunt and uncle. And the waitor made him pay twice. They ripped a ten year old off $7. Despicable. How could anyone take advantage of a child like that? Im very disappointed and upset. The money is not the issue. Its the principal!

Good down-home restaurant. Huge menu selection & daily specials. Inexpensive. Ordered the walleye dinner special: roll, salad, baked potato, mixed vegetables and fish for only $7.99. Husband got the turkey croissant with salad, $6.49. Nice size portions.

Clean room, good service. Ordered the Mexican skillet - something Ive had at dozens of places. Not the best but nothing particularly wrong with it. Served fast and hot. Coffee refilled constantly. Plenty of regulars on here - a good sign. Id come back.

The Sunrise Family Restaurant has good flavors, good prices, and good service! The service was very fast from the time we walked in the door. This is a good place to go for a diner breakfast atmosphere.
