My tables ordered a waffle, the country steak and mashed potatoes with gravy, the pork tenderloin sandwich and two bowls of french onion soup. The soups were cold, and had 12 large, soggy croutons in EACH bowl and tasted like oregano more than onions and neither came with the best part: gooey broiled cheese. The waffle was lovely, i have no complaints about it. The pork sandwich was simply mediocre. The steak and potatoes was DROWNED in brown gravy that was so over salted that it was inedible. The vegetables my meal came with were soggy, overcooked and cold. I sent my order back and asked for two fried eggs and toast. They brought my eggs without my toast, and by the time my toast arrived, my eggs had gone cold. So to say the least, i was far from impressed. The waffle was the only thing that saved this restaurant from a one star review

Very friendly and fast service. Prices were very reasonable as well. Good sized menu. While not the most amazing food ever it is very good for your typical family restaurant. I recommend it if you are in Sandwich. Do as I did and have a sandwich in Sandwich!

Excellent food but very slow. but take my word. Revamp the tables and chairs lay new carpet and do a grand reopening as a steak restaurant and youll take every person from the surrounding restaurants. I should know . Chef Ramsey passes this along.

Great food and service under new management! I had the grilled fajita sandwich which was excellent: chicken super tender and perfectly seasoned. All the food came out in a timely manner and the service was excellent. I highly recommend!

We get carry out from Star 34 about once a week - however, lately each meal comes with less and less french fries. Love the food and love the soup... just wish we could not feel ripped off with carry out.

I like this restaurant. It is classic American Family with a Greek twist with the classic menu found all over Chicago land. Not all greasy like some of the others in town.

Great place to eat. Soup is always good. The portions are a nice size. Prices are very reasonable. We go there about once a week. Service is always great too.
