I just had the worst experience at this location. I placed my order and paid Jennifer. Without washing her hands (or using hand sanitizer – which she ultimately said was all the Health Dept. says they have to do), Jennifer turned around from taking my money and giving me change, to handling my sandwich. When I said something to her she said that they’re not required to wash their hands, just use sanitizer because the sandwiches go through the oven. She was flippant and extremely rude in her response and quite frankly, I’ve NEVER heard of hand sanitizer being a substitute for hand washing, so pressed her further by saying just that. Jennifer then became dogmatic, so rather than argue, I told her I wanted my money back minus the cookie I’d eaten. Instead of shutting her mouth and giving my money back, she continued to argue, so I pulled out my phone and began recording. She STILL didn’t shut-up, so I pointed out that good customer service would be executing my refund request and not arguing with me about hand washing as that was a debate she’d lose no matter how much she tried to justify being nasty and not washing her hands. While I was standing there, she then turned to another associate and said, “Will you handle her? She said I’m being rude and I’m not.” Again, she was out of order. If she wanted to make her case to the other associate, then the time to do that wasn’t while I was standing there, camera rolling. The other associate took care of the refund, no questions asked. She then identified herself as the GM, Anjanette (spelling may be incorrect). I then outlined my concerns from hygiene/food safety to poor customer service. She was receptive and kind, but the bottom line is that Jennifer didn’t see the problem with handling money, then food without washing her hands, or at the bare minimum, using sanitizer since she said that’s all that is required. Food poisoning is real, as is the need for exercise proper food handling. It’s disappointing that Jennifer and/or this location don’t get that!

On Friday I placed a to go order. While I was waiting an employee came from the back. He was hot and sweaty and rubbed his hands across his face. He went to display case and removed cheese and unwrapped it, bare handed with no gloves, he balanced in one hand, while he cleaned his ear with the other then proceeded to slice the cheese. I looked at other food handlers, all working bare handed. No gloves. I took my food, brought it home, through it in the trash and will never go back. I was in complete shock. One star is too much! I will always pay more attention in restaurants now.

While ordering my Chicken Parmesan sandwich, the guy asks if I want mushrooms and onions, to which I reply "No." So I get my sub and it has mushrooms and onions. No problem, I take it back and they remake it. While waiting for my 2nd sub, everyone at my table is laughing about what theyll do to my food. I get the remake and start grubbing. Half way through, I find a nice big black hair. It didnt take long to guess which guy the hair came from. Not to sure why hair nets are not required in kitchens anymore.

Arrived at 945 to find the doors locked and cleaning inside progressing. I knocked on the window and was met with a disgruntled employee stating "were closed." Very disappointing to arrive at an establishment with plenty of time to spare and walk away empty handed. If youre going to say that youre open until 10, then stay open until 10. Seems pretty straight forward to me. I had enough time to go down the street to Chic Fil A and get a meal. Next time Im just going straight there.

Food is good BUT employees dont consistently wear gloves. They touch the buns and other ingredients with their bare hands. When I questioned a girl who didnt use gloves that made some sandwiches, she said, Yeah, but its okay since this food is for family members. Rediculous and disgusting. After two times in a row, we decided not to go back. And havent. It all starts at the top. Lower management doesnt care when upper management doesnt care.

Dirtiest resturant I have ever eaten in! From the surface things dont look bad but it is filthy. I had to use a high chair for my daughter and it was so sticky and covered in black that 4 diaper wipes coulnt clean off. The table was the same exact way. The cook did not have any gloves on and touched our meat with his bare hands. He was covered in tats which was worrisome. I love Penn station but will never go back to this one.

I love love love Penn Station. My favorite one is on state st. New Albany. The staff is always friendly and my favorite grill cook is the guy who used to have dreds, sorry I dont know his name. I get the same thing every time I go which is 2 or 3 times a month. I need a card that gets punched for each sandwich to get a free one after so many purchases. :)

The customer service at this location is second to none! Every employee there is so friendly. They go out of their way to make your experience there top notch. The restaurant was so clean too. I visit this area several times a year to visit my son. Cant wait to return. Thanks Penn Station!!

We come here once a week at least..we love it! However, the customer service tonight was horrible. Whoever was on the grill was very rude to me, basically stopped me in the middle of my order (which I only order the same thing every time) and told me HOW to tell the girl my order...

If the food wasnt so expensive this place would get an additional star because the subs are tasty. If the service was friendlier this place would get two more stars. Thats why there only two stars. Please hire friendlier people and lower your prices.

You think that being charged $8/ sub, they would actually put chicken on a CHICKEN CORDON BLEU. Literally had. 2 small pieces of chicken and the rest was tomato and lettuce. Wouldnt hurt to wear gloves and hair nets while preparing food also.

I got off work at 9:40, I sped there arriving at 9:48, and the lights were out, doors locked, and closed. Highly disappointed. If youre going to close before 10, change the hours. Lost a loyal customer tonight

I love the food here. Very tasty. On food alone Id rate it a five. Recently, however, the service hasnt been especially friendly. And Id say the prices are just a little high.
