We recently moved here from Madison, IN. In Madison, we had Empress of China. The food there is done fresh and nothing frozen. The rice doesnt have any dyes and is not Filled with vegetables that are so cooked they are mush. The Sesame Beef does not leave an after taste of oil, the crab Ragoon is a plump fried wonton filled with cream cheese and crab. The Ragoon actually tastes like crab and cream cheese, the ones we ate tonite from China Bistro tasted stale. I know that I should not always expect the same quality but this was far from good. Someone should also mention to the people cooking in the back that hair nets or hats is a mandatory part of cooking for both females and males. Not seeing that violation would have at least gotten an extra star from me.

My wife & I eat here a lot. Even though they look like every other takeout Chinese place, their food quality is way above most of the others. You know how at most places youll get something that is fried chicken, and you find large chunks of yellow fat in the middle? We never have that problem here. Seriously, their food is almost of the quality of like PF Changs (not quite, but pretty close), but 1/4 to 1/2 the price. We have never had a bad experience w/ their food. So, all in all, a great place to eat. It has ruined us on other fast food Chinese resturants.

I dont understand any of the negative reviews about this place... I have eaten here probably around 50 times over the past several years and not 1 time was less than great! The staff is consistently wonderful, the wait is always exactly what they say it will be, and the food always hits the spot. These negative reviews are a joke... and someone above me says they didnt deliver food? Im quite sure its because they dont deliver... so, I would have called them a liar too! There has never been anything remotely shady about this business and I adore the staff.

I think the user who was upset that their food was not delivered had the wrong place - China Bistro has never delivered. They do have a drive-up window if you order ahead, and I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for food when I did not order ahead. Their food is really good quality - not MSG orange like some places, the food looks and tastes fresh and wonderful. Best Chinese fast food place on this side of the river IMHO.

I love the food and the review before me is right. I love how the food is fresh and not scary looking. Ive never been sick from eating there like other chinese restraunts. I eat there all the time an I will continue.

Dont get this place confused with China Taste in Jeffersonville. Theres no comparison!! China Bistro is clean, the staff is polite and helpful, and their food has always been impeccable.

I eat here more often than I should. There food is one of the best in the Kentuckiana region. Theyre quick, the portions always leave room for leftovers, and their prices are fair.

Poor quality, poor value. I notice most of the positive reviews are years old. With the shuttering of China House on Grant Line road there are no decent Chinese places in New Albany.

Visited China Bistro last night and was very pleased! The plain lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and the crab ragoon were delicious! I highly recommend China Bistro!
