We have been here 30-40 times before and have always been generally pleased. I say generally because the place has had pretty grumpy service from day one, but the food was good and continued to come back. Tonight we came back with our takeout and find out once at home that the chow mein, literally fried noodles according to Wikipedia and further confirmed by continuing experiences until tonight, was not as expected. Well this dish is made up of white "fried" rice and vegetables with small strip of chicken. (Parents order). We go back and inform them of the crab rangoon they also forgot and ask them about the mistake of the main dish. They maintained what they had given us was the chx chow mein with fried rice that we had ordered. The fried rice should have been a side btw. Here is what my problem is. When a customer comes in dissapointed and expresses to you what they intended to order and show you a picture labeled with the name you ordered, the least you could do is remake whatever it is that the customer wanted. Especially when they know that we spend a fair amount of cash there. Perhaps more than we should, but they solved that expense this evening!

The only thing good was the containers I got to bring home lol. For those that say its the best, what are you comparing it to? They dont have plates to eat on. You use the lid to the container for a plate, no joke. The crab Rangoon was so bland, not sweet at all. I love them and have had them at MANY places and these were the worst yet. They do give a big bowl of chicken for general tso but half the pieces are a chunk of fat. My husband got beef fried rice and said the egg in it was good but not much beef. We wont be back. I would not recommend this place.

I ordered Sesame Chicken with White Rice and a small Hot and Sour Soup. Overall was very good food. Some of the chicken was a bit overcooked, but as a whole very good. Hot and Sour soup was very good. Slight heat and good flavor. A lot of veggies (mushrooms, green onions and peppers) and eggs with tofu. More than I am used to for soup, but very good. Service was prompt, even though they were very busy. I had a phone order and waited about 5 minutes in line to pick up order.

Chow Express is great. If you like Hot and Sour Soup, you REALLY need to try this individually crafted soup. Yes, each batch is created fresh. It is quite frankly, one of the best. The fried rice is much different than any fried rice I have ever had. It is clean, fresh, not as saucy(?). The vegetables are always fresh. The food is always quickly made. If in doubt on what to get try this: Hot and Sour Soup, Boneless Spare Ribs Appetizer, and Phoenix Dragon.

Exceptional Service. Awesome eat in environment. Usually just order takeout at Chinese food places but would consider eating here. Very clean & just all around pleasant. Kitchen & dinner area has an open concept which is very inviting. The food is delicious & the carry out container & bag is very nice. Your food is packaged very well & NOT simply stuffed in a bag that is way too small. What a different experience than the usual for Chinese places. Love it

The best Chinese food I have EVER had! Chinese is my absolute favorite type of food, so I am super picky when it comes to it. This is hands down the best I have ever had. The General Tsos chicken is amazing, the hot and spicy beef is my favorite, their hot and sour soup is delicious, and the freshness of their food is unmatched. Definitely not your run of the mill buffet or mall style Chinese. This is legit.

Delicious food would definitely recommend! Doesnt have MSG which is a plus and its not very expensive. It doesnt look like anything special in a strip mall next to a grocery store, but I love their General Taos Chicken and Crab Rangoon. I think its a small family business, which is always good to support as well. Worth trying and easy to get to off 465/69.

Name sounded interesting so went in and tried it. Sweet and sour chicken standard but tasted really good. Chicken seemed 100% white meat. Fried rice good. Restaurant was clean and even the rest room was decently clean. Portion size of the chicken was a little smaller than the normal Chinese portion, but large enough to fill me without left overs.

Seriously, the best Chinese food I have had in Indianapolis. It is legit Chinese food, not a "panda express" knockoff. It costs less and tastes better than any other Chinese restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this!! ps. you have to apply your own soy and other sauces- dont be surprised if its a bit bland before that!

I get take-out here about once a month. Always lo mein, best lo mein Ive ever had. Get the normal size and I get two lunches out of it. Honestly if you dont like lo mein I have no idea if youll like their food, but looking at other reviews Ill assume its also pretty good.

Fresh food, good service, fair price to portion ratio... only thing I didnt like was that my sweet and sour chicken was overly breaded, but overall pretty happy.

They have the best fried rice I have ever had. Not too greasy or saucy. I dont even usually rate stuff online. I just like their fried rice that much lol
