We have been coming to That Place for months to play trivia on Tuesdays and would NEVER come to this place except for supporting Indys Live Trivia. We are constantly treated with disrespect by the owner. The service is absolutely terrible, yet we still order lots of food every time and tip way beyond what we think is fair. Because we do not always care to drink alcohol while we are here (because of allergies and personal reasons), we do usually order water. In recent weeks, we have been singled out as a group and made to order and pay for bottled water, yet we see multiple groups that are allowed to order tap water. We are also typically one of the first groups here for trivia, but we have come to be the last one to always have our orders taken and food served. We have been complained about by the owner for using the gift certificates that we won by playing trivia. If they wanted to institute a small buy-in to play trivia, we would have gladly paid a small fee. Furthermore, we were confronted by the general manager as to why we were being made to pay for water and was told it was because we were only using gift certificates, even though we had only won gift certificates about 3 times in 7 months. Do not support this establishment!!

Checked out a local place since it was across the street from my hotel. This is not a good place to go for food. I ordered a pizza and it was smaller than a Totinos and the meatballs were disgusting. I had to remove them. The service was poor with the kind of lazy and apathetic servers that you would never want to hire if you owned a restaurant. In terms of a bar/pool hall experience it seemed like a great place for cheap beer and fun if you are in your early-mid 20s. Its pretty spacious with a mix of dive bar and sports bar with typical TVs and neon beer lights. It was pretty clean and did not smell like stale beer.

Whenever we go out we head to "That Place" We always have Great Food and the service is second to none! The beer the coldest I have ever had along with the selection being the largest around. LIVE MUSIC...well that is what "That Place" is all about!! A group of us went there a few weeks ago (18) there was a band called "Band Wagon" that we have never seen before and they totally blew us away!! There was standing room only the whole night and the dance floor was packed from start to finish. Hope to see them again soon...every weekend the Live Music is the BEST!

The music was good but they didnt have any non alcoholic beverages. I asked for a non alcoholic beer and they gave me their version which said it had less than .5% alcohol in it but even that to me is too much. Just wanted to go have a good time and listen to some music but the staff was a little uptight and the bar wasnt really clean. Id give them more stars but they need to work more on customer service.

This establishment is a throw back to the 1950s deep south. I went to watch a friends band perform and found myself being verbally attacked with racial slurs. I looked to both the bartender and the bouncer/security guard for assistance . . . to possibly remove those that were the perpetrators and unfortunately they refused to do so, or do anything at all.

Terrible discriminatory, racist bar. DO NOT go here if you are not white and heterosexual unless you want to experience discrimination at its worst. Management and owner supports this behavior!!! Would LOVE to see it closed down for good. There is no place in this day and age for a establishment to support discrimination.

Not from the area and always treated as though Im a regular. Food is always fresh and not just warmed up. Drink specials usually good like the 2.50 well drinks on Thursday. Nothing to gain by the positive review just letting other travelers know its a fun/safe place to go.

Trivia was fun. Beer specials were amazing. Food was not the greatest quality, but not bad either. Waitress seemed like she wasnt all that interested in serving, which made for somewhat awkward interactions while ordering drinks/food.

Great bar. I have never witnessed any discrimination against anyone. Dj bingo is a lot of fun. People that are complaining are probably the racists. Cant white heterosexual people have a place to party?? I am so sick of it.

Dive joint. Okay food nothing fancy. The bands are a hit and miss. $2 cover... sometimes they should give a refund. Always a fight breaks out... 5 out of 5 times I have been there.
