So Ive updated this review now... Ive officially tried every single vietnamese restaurant in the city and the burbs... Hands down, Sandras is the best of the best. The veggies are always fresh and crisp, the flavors and quality of the meats and soups are on point, and I havent had a single dish there that wasnt great. Sandra is a wonderful lady, and she and her brother do a bang up job running this business. Its clean, quiet, and the food is top notch. The only con is that the service can be slow, but you have to realize, its literally just Sandra running the show 90% of the time. Its a small business, and Im sure they would hire help if they could. But man does Sandra hustle! My advice, come at a non peak time for the best service and dont be in a massive hurry. This isnt Cracker Barrel, you will not be in and out in 25 minutes. Good food takes time.

Never judge a book by its cover or a store by its front...Very comfortable, clean, quiet dining experience. Ive been goin at least twice a week for the past 3 years. EVEN THE BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN. The waitress, Ha, is super nice and friendly. The prices are too good for the food you receive and EVERYTHING Ive tasted is perfect. Good lunch combination specials too. IMPORTANT SUGGESTION>>>> Call and place your order ahead of time. Ha is the only waitress and her brother is the only cook. They are usually at 70% capacity during lunch hours. Calling ahead of time (at least 40 minutes) guarantees your food will be delivered to your table fast, yet still hot and fresh.

wow wow wow... what a delight in discovering this place Agree with all the reviewers and that doesnt happen with me since Im really picky especially when it comes to ethnic food - particularly Asian. Great well-prepared food thats presented very well, perfect interior setting, great relaxed service and happy customers. Take note of the Colonels review... great prices for really quality food ingredients. Ill be going there quite a lot and probably go through most of their menu in the next several months... more again later.

I cant not say enough good things about Sandras Noodles. The meals are amazing. I prefer the spices choices such as the ginger chicken but the PHO is delightful as well. Ive never had Vietnamese food anywhere else. So I have dont have a qualified basis of comparison but this place keeps me coming back! Sandra and the only waitress and cook and cashier and hostess and she stays busy! That being said it can be difficult to squeeze break here so call your order in ahead of time and youll be ok!

Absolutely love this place. Food is always fantastic. My wife and I always get the pollo rolls and the chicken and rice soup, which comes with your meal during lunch. We always get it with our dinner too. Then really any entrée is great. Recently I have gotten the Black Pepper Chicken, excellent, and my wife got the Cashew Chicken, which is really good as well. I have not had a bad meal here. If there is one place I take people from out of town is here.

I have been to Sandras a half a dozen times. Every time i have been there I have loved the food! The Pho is fantastic! I do have to say my favorite there is the Lemongrass Pork. It has been very tender and flavorful every time I ordered it. The only downsides are a bit slow on the service, and I am not a fan of fish sauce. To combat these I call ahead order, even if I am dining in, and ask for no fish sauce.:)

I love this place! They are the kindest people in the restaurant business. We order carry out a few times a month and always get the same thing. If we ever change it up, she will even call back to make sure the order was taken right. If you ever have to wait, remember they make it all and run a lean team so they can stay in business, and its worth it! So glad its a close option for us in Lawrence

My family and I have been going to Sandra RIce & Noodles for about 6 years now and never have we been dissatisfied. The food is always fresh and the quality is never faltering. Ha is a fantastic witness, even when the restaurant is packed to the brim. Though customers are left impatiently waiting at their table while the mouth-watering smells waft from the kitchen, the food it worth the wait.

Horrible experience, lunch was not busy but was told food would take 15 min, 45 minutes later no food. The food came and they missed a part of my order had to wait again. They gave no apologies. The ladythere keep calling me hun as if she worked at hooters. This is a vietnamese person telling you the food is not good and service is horrible. Take my advice and pass on this one.

Went here for lunch and had to come back! My first visit had the spicy ginger chicken and it was phenomenal. There is care in the presentation of the food as well as in the preparation. On my next visit I had some of the best Pad Thai Ive had!! Will definitely be returning many times in the future! Overall: great food for a great price. Definitely an unassuming little gem!

Service is very poor and slow. Dont know what they will charge you until you go to the counter and she rattles off a price. If you inquire about the amount she acts like you offend her or accuse her of charging what ever she wants. Why doesnt she ring all the sales on the cash register and give every one a reciept? Not just the charges? I say where theres smoke theres fire.

Great Vietnamese food! Pho is really delicious here so much so that my wife orders Beef Pho every time we eat here. Sometimes the service can be slow; so if you are in a hurry, this is not the place. But, if you are looking for some amazing Vietnamese dishes, and ready to take your time, enjoying every moment of your lunch/dinner, this is the place for you.

Sandra Rice & Noodles still is a best-kept secret in Indianapolis, despite consistently high ratings by Indianapolis Monthly magazine. I simply do not understand. The prices seem too low for the quality and freshness of the ingredients and the talent and skill of the gentleman who prepares the food. By the way, the food is more nuvo-Vietnamese than Thai.

My husband and I frequent this little restaurant. I love the pho and hes a huge fan of the kung pao chicken. The food has always been very good even though there is a wait. But, with only two people running the show most of the time, they do really well. Clean place with good food and nice owners. Always enjoy my visits and recommend to all of my friends.

This is a nice mom and pop style joint. I enjoyed a large bowl of pho with the normal fixings. Flavors were solid and the portion was large. Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you get. My only complaint was the ice water. The ice, once melted, left calcium deposits in my water. I think a filter change is needed :)

Pretty good, but not up to the expectations that I had after I read all the hype about it. Its a standard Vietnamese restaurant with egg noodles as their specialty. I got the fish ball egg noodle soup and he got the braised duck leg. Pretty okay for us, but not spectacular. They do offer free soy milk to accompany your meal.
