Fair warning: Im probably a little biased, considering Ive lived within walking distance of Foon Ying for most of my life... and for this, I consider myself lucky ^^ The staffs all very nice and its a family-owned joint so you can bet on the food (as well as the service) being consistent and *fast*. Get used to hearing a cheery, enthusiastic, "Ten minute!" =) If its your first time eating here, Id suggest something on the milder side -- sesame chicken, chicken lo mein, crab rangoon etc.; but if, like me, you prefer a spicier fare, Id go with Hunan chicken, Sichuan chicken, General Tsos or, my personal favorite -- chicken with garlic sauce. You should also absolutely try their beef-fried rice and their egg rolls, which are to die for. The only reason I gave them a four (and believe me, its still a hard four) is because frankly, the quality of the food has declined *somewhat* in the past decade or so, but theyre still the best Chinese (Cantonese) joint that Ive tried on the whole of the east side. Oh, and for those concerned, theres *NO* MSG, which in itself sets Foon Ying apart from the rest. Enjoy! ^^

Wow, I was wanting to go to a chinese restaurant but wasnt sure why. I googled them and this one got good reviews so we went. BIG MISTAKE. The eggrolls (which some say are so good) were filled with just cabbage and a funny tasting spice-the pork egg roll had hot pink pieces of foul meat in it-not good at all. We ordered the house special and the veggies and rice...both were terrible. We looked at each other-got up and left without eating another bite. The place is dirty there was food all over the floor and chewed gum. There were a few dead fish in the fisht ank and I just should have paid more attention when we arrived and left immediately!

The food is different from what Im used to, but very good. Most of the staff was very friendly, with only one employee being the exception. They have a great atmosphere inside that youd never guess from looking at it from the outside. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fast food Chinese or slightly better.

The egg rolls were very good size and I was super excited but they tasted slightly of cleaning solution. Also, purchased the Buddha Delight and veg Low mein. Both were not good quality especially for the price. Was really bummed because I really want to find a go-to Chinese restaurant but this is not it! Not worth the price.

The best chinese carryout place i been to i always order from them, there fried rice is the best not mentioning the portions. Huge teriyaki chicken sticks and the egg rolls are so amazing, orange chicken, broccoli chicken, this is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant to go to instead of a buffet!

If I could give it a zero I would. Just had their eggroll and chicken fried rice for lunch. Rice was good, but the eggroll?!!! Looked like it was cooked in old grease and tasted weird as heck. Also have a serious nauseous feeling now and....yup Im about to go throw up, toodles.

SO good. They are a very busy restaurant so they really dont have a lot of time to be super friendly and waiting on you like youre the only person in the world that matters, but the food is so worth it that when I feel the need for Chinese this is really the only place I go to.

I ordered Chicken Egg Foo Yung, for him I ordered Szechuan Beef, absolutely wonderful, each lunch meal $5+ and always worth it. We drive from Fishers to Foon Ying, ask for Annie ★★★★★ ღ(。◕‿◕。)ღ say YES to FOON YING!!/watch?v=eP-WxgVRyQQ ★★★★★

Generously portioned, low-cost, very tasty Chinese food. We moved away a year ago but havent found an equal to Foon Ying, so we still make the 45-minute drive on occasion just to pick up some sesame chicken and egg rolls. Its well worth it.

I called to ask if they deliver. The guy literally screamed "NO" and immediately hung up on me. So if youre looking to carry out from a restaurant employed by rude people, youve hit the jackpot.

I absolutely love their vegetable egg rolls. They are always fresh and they are huge compared to the egg rolls you get at other Chinese restaurants. The rest of the food is really good too.

Not too bad. The crab Rangoon was good- not sweet, lots of crab. And i was impressed the general tsos. The human beef however was kind of gummy and not very good. But overall pretty good.

Not good. Quick service, nice people, but the food was metallic and tasted of sanitizer. Ive worked in restaurants and breweries and I could taste the sanitizer very clearly.
