Three stars is a stretch for me. First, the food - I had the pate combination (mushroom and liver), salmon and spinach salad, and profiteroles. The pates were serviceable - they were flavorful and rich, but presentation left something to be desired - too much of the pate, scopped out and plopped on the plate like ice cream, and surrounded by stale carrot sticks and bread. The salad was not a marriage made in heaven. While the salmon was cooked perfectly, the spinach leaves had very little dressing on them, they were cool, and there were far too many of them. I felt like I was eating two different dishes - warm salmon and asparagus, and a mound of spinach leaves just out of a bag. The spinach portion should have been halved, and then heated or seared, and tossed with the pesto dressing. The profiteroles, however, were the worst. The choux pastry was terribly dense and tasted as though it had been in the freezer for 3 months prior to thawing. The plain vanilla ice cream was hard. I really had to lean into my fork and may even have had to use my knife. Profiteroles are easy to make and easy to vary - for example, with hazelnut ice cream and different sauces. A decent restaurant can make the pastry in the morning and keep it cool for the day, and then make the chocolate sauce just before the dinner hour. I doubt that any such preparation occurred here - this version was lifeless, dead. The service was fine, although the waiter only appeared when he brought the food, and otherwise never checked on me. The atmosphere was the best part of the experience, timeless black and light burgundy color decor, very cozy. If only the food had measured up as well.

Probably the best restaurant in Broad Ripple! My wife and I have been going here for years to celebrate our anniversary, her birthday and just about any other reason we can think of to go. The food is always excellent and changes a couple times a year so it is always fresh and exciting. The deserts are always imaginative and delicious and their wine/ spirits selection is fantastic. All this wrapped up in a French-rustic atmosphere - it always reminds me of the restaurants we frequented in Paris one summer, especially the outdoor seating. 2 quick recommendations... 1) get any entree that comes with the carrot soufflé; you won’t be disappointed by either 2) finish off the meal with the Chocolate Mousse (& a Highland Scotch).

Great modern urban restaurant just south of Indianapolis. The place is small, so if you are planning on coming with a group be sure to call ahead for reservations.Happy hour goes until 7pm. Pretty limited but what they do off is delicious. We had lamb sliders, fried sun chokes and a cheese platter. For dinner I had grilled octopus followed by sea bass. Both were excellent.Only criticism is I wish the portions were a little more generous. Left the restaurant satisfied, but definitely could have eaten more.

In he heart of Broad Ripple. This restaurant is in a prime location for people watching from the patio. The cheese list is incredible with close to 20 options from Which to choose, and plenty of add one to make your cheese plate a meal. The $20 managers bin wines are always fun if youre feeling adventurous! Check out the Wellington next door for great cocktails and plenty of local beer selections. Head down to the basement on the weekends for live music with no cover! So much fun.

This review is for the adjoining bar, the Wellington. I have not actually been in the Corner Wine Bar side. The Wellington is probably my favorite bar in Broad Ripple. It isnt huge or obnoxiously loud like the majority of bars in the area. Drink prices are reasonable with a nice place to sit and darts. You wouldnt know the bar is there by walking by it. The basement has live music some nights which is also fun.

I own a small wine store in Indianapolis and can honestly say, The Corner Wine Bar has one of the best wine selections that Ive seen at a restaurant in town. Their prices on these hard to find wines are great and the food is wonderful. The restaurant has a lot of character and the menu shows that the chef does as well! We look forward to our next dining experience with Corner Wine Bar!

Great people, cheese, wine, and atmosphere. I asked for medium but my steak was cooked a few minutes short of rare and not edible. Seared and seasoned well though. ****Went back and this time the steaks were perfect! Still wonderful people and atmosphere. Great place. Hopefully our first experience was just a fluke.****

The Wellington, the pub side of CWB, is my favorite bar in the world. Solid beer selection with frequently rotating taps. Good drinks, nice darts and a great old school vibe throughout. The food is pretty good, but really wish theyd make french fries.

Excellent atmosphere. Connected to the Wellington Pub, which is where we sat to enjoy our bottle of wine. The bartenders are very knowledgeable. Fun place to hang out and share a bottle of wine.

Delicious food and a large selection of fine wine, cocktails and beer. Cheese, charcuterie, salads, pasta dishes, steaks, chicken, and seafood. And dog friendly on the large covered patio.

Great restaurant with a dive bar attached that uses the same kitchen. Historic and neighborhood vibe that I love and locally owned for added bonus. Real nice patio area.

Always great service. Good selection of wine thats not too expensive, and the food is consistently fantastic. Plus, it has one of the most unique aesthetics in Indy.
