Although the food was good, our service was terrible. When we arrived to the resturant we were asked if our checks would be separated, we said yes (we had a party of 13 about 7 checks). We ordered food and drinks, and were celebrating a bachelor/bachelorette so the orders were complicated. At the end of the night the check was not separated. The waitress then went around and asked what everyone had individually. We waited 25 mins, she then came back and said the check was still not separated because a handful of items (that were told to her) were not accounted for. We restated the items we ordered. 10 mins later she came back with individualized checks that were completely mixed up, charged us and we left. This morning I woke up to almost 300$ worth of charges, others in the group werent charged at all, and some had charges for a tip that were much more generous then they had left. When we called to talk to the manager they did agree to fix the charges but accounted it to "a system malfunction". The establishment as a whole is cool and the food is good, however, there is a lack of organization and accountability that resulted in a huge financial mix up. This whole ordeal wouldnt even be an issue if the waitress was pleasant, and apologetic; but instead she was rude and made it out to be our fault. We will not be returning, and advise anyone with slightly larger party to do the same.

Overall, Hops is a good place to be if your looking for good beer, good service, and an ok bite. I wouldnt choose to go to Hops, but I wouldnt object to going there with my friends. The wait staff was skilled and sat our party of seven on a busy Friday evening without fuss. Our server was personable and gave us the time we needed to figure out our order. Our food and beer came out quickly. I got the "dips" app with a friend and while it was tasty, it didnt wow me or my friend. The plating was trendy with Mason jars and a metal sheet pan. For my entrée I got the bahn mi and was disappointed. The flavor was a little sweet but mostly bland. From the food at my table, it seemed like there wasnt much thought going into the food other than what was trendy. The hand cut fries were mealy and soggy, the bahn mi was bland, and the dips fell flat. I did get weird items from the menu, so maybe their traditional entrees like burgers, steak, and pasta are great. Again, I wouldnt choose to go here.

Hops used to be the go to restaurant in Holland for my fiancée and I. As shes vegetarian, she loved the beet salad and veggie burger. Then they went and changed the menu. Our last visit we were extremely underwhelmed. Not only did they remove her two favorite items, they removed most of the items I normally ordered. She had a new veggie sandwich and I had the meatball sub. She said her sandwich was just...fine, and my subs bun was soggy from juices soaking into it, and covered in a veggie mix on top that was not appetizing. Finally, fries were a $3 option that also failed to impress. Steak fries that were thoroughly unseasoned and mealy. We will probably not be back, and thats a shame.

Stopped in for dinner and a drink. I had the brisket dinner and my son had the fish and chips. The fish was so so. The brisket dinner was with out question the worst brisket I have ever had! Fat and grease. Not good! I staff, who I thought was very nice, asked if I would like to see the manager. I said why not. I manager came to the table and said " what seems to be the problem here." There is a number of things the manger could have said. I was not upset. What he did and said was not one of them. Been here before and was not this bad. Going downhill! As a point of reference I paid full price for the meal. Bad manager and bad brisket!

I stopped in mid-day today to get a salmon simple salad to-go. Not from the area, just passing through on a long drive. I waited about 20 minutes for the salad which was a bit annoying, since there were only a handful of guests in the whole place, but man was it worth it. The bartender was extremely attentive even though I was just ordering to-go (not drinking or anything). The salmon was out of this world. Huge portion, flaky and juicy with a crisp crust. Salad was nice and fresh - the house vinaigrette had great flavor. If Im ever back in Holland for any reason, Ill definitely be stopping here!

Absolutely loved Hops! I went there for my birthday dinner. We requested to sit on the dining room side and was grateful that the hostess warned us that there was only one server working that side and that she had just been given 4 tables. Those of us who went have all worked in service, so we understood entirely. The service was good, the food was BETTER!! I got a McKenzies Black Cherry Cider and a "Create your own" pizza! I love that they use local dough! It was a little pricy for eating there every week, but definitely a great spot for a special occasion. Also, there was live music...bonus!

Hops is a pretty great place to have a happy hour after work. The fries are the best thing on the menu, followed closely by the community pizza (whatever it happens to be that month). The beer selection is great and the rest of the food is pretty standard. We dont go on Sundays anymore. On Sundays, they have a limited menu of items they cant seem to get right. Plus, their signage would have you believe there is bottomless mimosa bar, but that only happens on Saturday.... All in all, 6/7 days a week its a great place to go.

Having the location, this bar and grill doesnt have to serve excellent food..... But it does! The small dinner salad was loaded with fresh summer veggies and the ranch dressing was handmade with real buttermilk. The chicken wings were full sized and just slightly crisped, served in a spicy sauce (not drowned) with, again, homemade bleu cheese dressing. But their homemade Bloody Mary mix is certainly worth trying....spicy with a smokey hint (as opposed to pure heat). So good youll keep coming back!

The namesake of this establishment is in abundant supply here. The large amount of beers on tap is impressive. Not only the quantity though, they have a built a well curated tap list from some typical and some more interesting beer. The food was great as well. Besides the pizza it seemed to me to be closer to typical bar food. But I really enjoyed the pizza and how creative they are with their selections. I enjoyed the ambiance of the place and the staff was all around friendly.

The food was amazing at this place. We started with chicken wings with medium buffalo sauce, and they were big drumstick-looking things that got a little warm after 3 of them. The menu states the spaghetti pie is their specialty (which is made daily so get it while it lasts) and is especially delicious! We also got the daily special, half of a roasted chicken. It was seasoned and roasted perfectly. The drink list is extensive with lots of local choices for beer and wines too.
