Mangement/manger is a JOOOOKE! 2 weeks ago I had sat down and planned out a birthday dinner that I wanted to be at the tap, we went online to book a reservation because we knew we were going to have a party of 10 or more and it was gonna be on a Saturday . Nathan who is the manger contacted us back via email and asked if we could move our dinner party time earlier. We agreed and then we never heard back from him after that. We emailed again days later to see if our reservation plan was set in stone he replied that he would get back to us within an hour and let us know, no was response was given an hour later! We called a day later and the employees on staff said that Nathan wasnt in and they would have him give us a call when he was back... literally 3 days went by and NO response! I called again asking to speak with another manager or someone who could shed alittle bit of light as to what is so complicated that you just cant respond yes or no!? I spoke with a guy named Justin and told him my situation and my frustration especially since I followed their set protocol and we were running out of time to make dinner reservations else where! Justin was nice enough to look into the situation and told me that "there should be no reason why The tap wouldnt be able to accommodate my party" he said that he would follow up with Nathan since he would the manger that saturday and give me a call back within the hour. I got the call back from Justin and he apologized for Nathan dropping the ball, and told me that he had spoke with Nathan and the reason why he hasnt responded was because he didnt know if he could make a reservation around the time we were wanting because of the NCAA weekend, which I understand, but honestly what does that matter either way the establishment is going to make money by having us there and I reach out to this establishment 2 weeks in advance which is plenty of time for them to accommodate 1 dinner party on a ncaa weekend or just purely tell me NO in a simple email that we had sent him 2 weeks ago!!!!!! Justin told me that regardless of the situation that our party reservation would be made and that we may have to wait to be seated but it would be "no problem" before I hung up I told him okay so me and my party will be there at 7 on Saturday he said yes. So Saturday comes and we were running alittle bit behind on time I called the establishment to let them know that we were gonna be late the hostess said that they had no reservation set for my party!.... I was absolutely pissed at this point! Like are you joking!?? I asked to speak with Nathan and asked him what is so hard about communicating and why is it such a hard task for him to accommodate my birthday party especially when I did all the appropriate steps to reserve my party!?? Nathan didnt have anything to say but lies and to try to cover his ass stating that he told me no that I couldnt have my party come that day (which he never did to me or Justin) and that we never got the approval through him which is not true because Justin called and talked to him and the biggest lie of all which is that they dont do reservations on saturdays!!! Which is complete BS because when I arrived (yes I still went because I had no other option) there were at least 3 partys that were over 12 people or more!!! Honestly the only thing that saved the night was the beer and the food and our server actually went out his way to apologize for his mangers behavior!! Its really too bad, because all I was trying to do was give my boyfriend a great birthday night out with his friends and family at one of his favorite places and that was completely ruined due too manager that lacks the brain cells just to be honest and communicate and do the right thing.

SO DISAPPOINTING! We had out of town guests (four hours away) come to stay at our home over this past weekend. We wanted to go out and try something new, so we thought The Tap would be a good place to try. Let me save you some time: its not! We ordered two burgers, a plate of the loaded tap fries, and 4 beers. It was a Saturday night, so we were ready to wait longer than usual for the food because of the time of day we went. THIRTY MINUTES later and still NOTHING at our table. I got the gist of our waitress purposely ignoring the tables that were waiting for their food. I had to stand up and ask somebody to grab our waitress because we still did not have our drinks yet at this point. 15 minutes later and she came back to apologize that she forgot to put in the order and that the fries would be on the house. Okay, that helped a bit so we accepted the fries and waited again for our order to be put in. ANOTHER 25 minutes later and still no beer or burgers. At this point, it got a little ridiculous. We had tickets for a movie approaching soon and we still did not have our food. In the end we had to cancel our order and leave. Our guests walked out with empty stomachs and a bad view of what Indianapolis has to offer in terms of quality restaurants. We will NEVER go back here again and I HIGHLY recommend nobody try this place either. I had high hopes and was so excited to try this place. The customer services is awful and that trumps all. Ill be sure to spread the word about this place and my experience I am just that upset.

First off, let me say this is a fairly new place so I think they have some things to work out. The space is brand new and looks amazing. The bar stools are extremely comfortable and I did not see a bad seat in the place. Two of us came in around lunch on a Friday. There wasnt a host so we sat ourselves in the front area. After waiting for nearly 15 minutes without being noticed, we moved to the bar and was promptly serviced. The beer selection is truly amazing with several on tap as well as coolers of beers from different countries and US states. The food options are pretty vast including pizza, burgers, bbq, tacos, and salads. I enjoyed a BBQ sandwich with fries. The menu mentioned cole slaw but all that was on there was purple cabbage. The fries were a little cold and definitely from a bag. The BBQ was at least hot and had good flavor. I did not have a tasty beverage but if was to have one it would have been from draft or one of the sour options in the cold case. I definitely liked the beer selection and the outdoor seating. I plan to return in the future but I recommend service work towards getting folks in and out in under an hour. This is a business community, at least during the workday, and people cant wait 15-20 minutes before getting served. This is especially true when so many other good options are just down Mass Ave.
