Where do i even start? I came in sort of expecting fancyish bar food, but it turned out to be so much more. We wanted fried pickles and the kitchen accommodated us because a memeber of our family is allergic to black pepper. That was awesome because most places will not take the effort to do that and make a new batch. They came out steaming hot and were delicious. We tried a few of the brews, and im honestly not a beer guy. I usually dont drink cause i dont like the taste of most beers. All of the beers i tasted were great. Especially the coffee creme dream. The burgers came out fresh and cooked the way we ordered, good quality ingredients were used. It tasted great and i was impressed with the thick sliced bacon. Its great to actually taste the bacon instead of see a paper thin slice. Then, the server came by and force fed us bacon carmel sea salt cheesecake. How dare him! It was too delicious! We could tell it was likely made in house and it was a PIECE of cheese cake, not a sliver or a slice from a 6" pan. Ive been alot of places and while i wont call it #1 on my list for burger places, which is reserved for Honest Abes in Lincoln, Nebraska, i will definitely call it a close 2nd. If youre in the area, this is even worth going out of your way for. Kudos, kitchen, and service.

Should have known. We were the only ones in the place. Pulled pork nachos were cold, no corn salsa as advertised. No sauce for the pork. Brisket seemed to be oven cooked. No taste in the bark. Steak was worse than ones I get at a low budget grocery. Dessert was decent. Beers are good. As before, many items not available. On a Friday afternoon? Shouldnt you be stocked for the weekend crowds? This was the second time we had been there to try to eat. Last time we were there, we were seated, given our beers and then were told it would be 45 minutes to get an appetizer with only 8 tables full in the restaurant. People were turned away as we were waiting. Sign on the door said, "Due to a large crowd of people, the kitchen is closed". 8 tables? We were told the chef "called in sick". No backup? Food definitely not worth the trip. When the highlight was unseasoned smashed potatoes, you know it is bad. Stop in for a beer, then STOP. Dont order the food.

My wife ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with no bleu cheese and literally got the exact opposite. A plain chicken wrapped with lettuce and toppled with bleu cheese. Our sons meal came out 10 minutes after ours for some reason. The waitress said "he put it in late"..? We never got checked on once or asked about refills on our drinks. Our waitress sat on her phone the whole time and my wife had to get up to ask for boxes and how to pay so we could leave. The only reason its not a one star review is because my pizza was decent. For the record, there was us and two other people eating.

This place blew my expectations out of the water. The beer and appetizers were good, my burger was delicious, the fries were crispy and salty, and the caramel bacon cheesecake was phenomenal. My sons cheeseburger also came in a large portion. The best part is I have food allergies, and not once was I told I couldnt have something because they made everything fresh to accommodate me, which is harder to find in a restaurant than you might think. A++ from me. Ill definitely be returning to try more.

Super great service, not sure what everyone was fussing about. My husbands glass wasnt empty for more than a minute before they asked if he needed another. Somehow our order didnt make it back to the kitchen and we waited for quite awhile for food. They informed us of the mistake and bought us a round of beers. The beers btw are awesome. Well be back with friends!

mrs. hunter and i stopped by this afternoon, after working at the antique mall for the morning shift.................the corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots were simply awesome, especially the light bodied meat gravy that came with it....................best time we have had in 30 years........growlers coming soon...............cant wait..........

The burgers were amazing! I was excited to see the creative menu. The beers were inventive as well, and I got several to taste for free. The servers need a little practice, but everyone was friendly and the food came out quickly. I hope this place succeeds, and Im definitely planning to go back.

DISCLAIMER: The owner is my brother, and I couldnt be more proud. First he became a tremendous brewer and makes my favorite beer in the world. Now, hes opened a restaurant with some of the most ingenious takes on Hoosier dishes. I absolutely love what theyre doing and cant wait to watch them grow!

Hubby got the BBQ Burger and I got the breaded Tenderloin. The food was good but the service was terrible. We went early so they were not busy. Waiter kept apologizing and saying he got sidetracked. Other employees were drinking while on the job. Probably wont be going back.

I live around Johnson county area and have been coming to this place since it was new. The food is awesome every time Ive been here. Beer is exceptionally great if your passing through the franklin area dont forget to pull off exit 90 to stop in for a treat you wont forget!

We had fish and fries and the BBQ pork sandwich. The fish and fries were good. Had the raspberry cider which was very very tasty. Our waitress was very happy to provide us with free beer and cider samples. We would visit again.

Overall good time. Not busy at all during lunch. The only server was a bit over matched at first but once we got served it was a great experience. Food very good, beer good. Will definitely be going back.

Okay beer, fries are fresh cut like Penn Station but way too much smoke sauce on the tenderloin. Plus no growler fills . Go to shale Creek. Better food and equal mediocre beer , but growler fills

7 empty booths/table and a 45-50 minute wait. Hostess acted like we were bothering her. Suggestion get some staff so customers can be served. Hard to wait 45 minutes with so many open tables.

Sat there waited for the waitress. She handed us a menu and walked away and took other peoples order and left us hanging for a bit. We finally got up and left and went to Big woods. Ridiculous.

Need more servers, many uncleared tables. They had a "limited" menu when we were there, kitchen problems. Pizza following ok, but that wasnt what we went there for, therefore 2 stars.

Food was decent but an hour wait for a couple of cheeseburgers is insane. The have the right concept, decor but I believe they do not have the aptitude to pull off this place

Had the smoked breaded tenderloin and it was awesone. Friendly staff. Roxie was my server and she was great. Did not try any of the beers but they had plenty of specials!!
